Testing out an aftermarket mirror fold module. Finally got it to work. It is currently temped in.

Auto Fold in/out like the LTZ/SLT.

Enjoy!

Thanks! It's a double row 24 " curved. It works good, it's really bright.

Here's a wall shot of just the bar.

Hooked up my catch can. I made it a couple years ago for my '08 and it worked well on that truck. I bought a new PVC tube and used the factory connectors on my hoses so that I can put it back to stock if need be for warranty work.

The module can be found on ebay and Amazon from $15-$35. The wiring for this though will not be Plug and Play. It will require cutting into your DL8 harness. It involves intercepting the mirror fold switch signal (in/out), ties into the door lock/unlock actuator signal, and needs an ACC On signal that comes from the X51L panel.

I'll get a "how-to" here once I get the wiring nailed down.

DIY

Do you remember the parts used. I have the HD catch can right now but want something better and a little bigger but I can't bring myself to drop 200 bucks. What type of can Didi you use and did you baffle the inside?

Yesterday I changed the transmission fluid and filter. Today, I did the seafoam thing to hopefully clean the carbon deposits that could be happening on the intake valves.

Unbelievable how dirty the trans fluid was in 70000 miles. It looked like coffee or muddy water.

I would have thought all 2500s came with tow mirrors already. Guess I learned something today.

Depends how the dealer orders them. When I bought my 13, they were ordering with the tow mirrors, now, not so much. Funny thing is if you order them on the truck, its about $300 - $400 option, if you go to the dealer and get the OEM its $1800. No thanks not on my dime. I had issues putting these on, they kept popping the fuse. Come to find out, its very easy to pinch the wiring harness between the mirror mount and the door. I took them off and found that I had done it, fixed, remounted being extra careful not to pinch them again and they work great. Next up, wire up the blinkers.
