That actually looks pretty good. One thing you could do is leave the canopy the colour that it is, but add a bit of accenting to your truck of the same colour. Could use some vinyl decalling could look sharp! I added some matte black vinyl to my Tungsten Metallic to offset it a bit and it turned out good.

Sorry, but I think that would look horrible. Different shades of black/grey/silver are one thing, clashing shades of brown/tan are another.

Perhaps I would think it might look good if I did it, but I'm really not willing to spend cash on something that I think would likely look bad, at least to me.

Decided to try 2 thin coats of plasti-dip on the taillights. I am not a fan of the chrome bezels inside the light but my last resort is opening the taillights and plasti-dipping the chrome.

How does the light come through? Heard it looks blurry.

I just noticed you have the nerf bars from GM I ordered and am having installed tomorrow. How do you like them? Any issues with them with rust or anything? They seem solid.

I like them. Solid bars. No rust yet (knock on wood). I only have 16xx miles on it. I stored the truck this winter to keep the salt off.I have seen some other steps just like mine but there is a third section that is just below the front of the bed, so you can get easy access. That one would have been nice :)

Ya I have seen those. N-Fab and Rough Country have wheel to wheel nerf bars. I figure I've got the steps on the rear bumper so I don't really need the side ones too. Plus the GM ones you have look thicker with wider steps. I've heard complaints with the other ones that it's awkward to get out of the truck due to their placement.

Anyways, thanks again for the info. They look good on your truck and can't wait to get mine on tomorrow!

Painted my bow tie today. Turned out a lot better than I thought it would.

Lighting looks fine, in daylight and night. The only thing i dont like is at night, when the lights are on and if you were right up to it, you can see it is spotty. But from a far its fine.

I'd hate to remove the plastidip with only 2 coats. Would be a pain.

If I decide to remove the 2 coats and if its hard to remove, I'll prolly just put on a full coat or two and I'll remove it then. It's really easy to remove it when its fully coated.
