I put 'em on Friday night but, finally finished cleaning the truck up this morning.. My Silverado is now ready for all formal occasions with black bow ties... I used these aluminum powder coated ones from amazon: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B075MX1N8T/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Easier than removing the entire emblem... IMG-3164.thumb.JPG.4724e87161302103a5dd70b412d591ed.JPG

I also put a black carbon fiber sticker over the gold emblem on the steering wheel... Now I need to decide if I want to black out the bow ties on the rims...

Truck still looks pretty good for 3-1/2 years and 70k miles...

Next plans are:

Remove and paint running boards matte black.

Truxedo Sentry Tonneau cover, just not happy with the tonnopro hard fold fit and finish...

I was thinking the same.... I played all weekend with lead foot. Time to drive normal and see what my increase will really be.

Finished welding up my dual lighting exhaust. It’s a speed engineering true dual dump exhaust modified to exit on the side. I also welded in 8” flowmaster metal substrate 200 CPI cats after the x-pipe just to refine the sound a little and now it sounds perfect. It’s still really aggressive, loud and deep but now it sounds much cleaner and more refined. 3f7dc0b31dbb50ed2daab5f6f9b004a0.jpg

Installed a bull bar this weekend, I think it came out good. Only downside that I didn't think about was the front parking sensors. Now I need to get a relocation kit or keep turning them off whenever I drive! cc328c93a49f15a67be6d180c9449028.jpg

How much lift do the shock settings net? And do you have any rubbing with those size tires?

About 1.5” lift in the front. When the tires were brand new, the sidewall lugs on the tire rubbed the driver’s side sway bar at full lock when turning left. If I was 10 degrees shy of full lock, nothing rubbed. Now, I don’t notice any rubbing. Not sure if it’s from my most recent alignment or if the lugs wore down but I haven’t noticed any rubbing in months.

Did an oil change and cleaned my air filter. While I was taking the air filter out, I remember seeing it somewhere on here about cutting out a hole for the air box. So I took my drill and a cutting bit out and went to town.
Also drilled some holes on my drain plug.... but broke my only bit after 2 corners.... so don’t judge me on the position of the safety wire spot.
