Got my new plate. This thing is used to haul my kids around 90% of the time so I figured the name was fitting.

Took the blower off to change the injectors and HPFP to LT4 stuff. And this is what my valves looks like. Been running a catch can since 406 miles on the truck.... been feeding it meth for the last.... 8k.... smh. Looks like I need more meth!!!!

Also changed out the low side from 450 to 535. Same exact size. Easyyyyyy! 38261e00ee85cd3cb91b8c313e93022b.jpg

Hum. Just me talking into the air here but I believe that most commercial catch cans lack sufficient volume to lower space velocity enough to reach liquid disengagement.

Looks like this might be proof. That looks worse than my NA motor without a can at 60K I think it was 60K  last time we dropped a camera in there.

Think of it this way. Your valve cover IS a catch can with a baffle plate and PCV valve. Pretty well though out and sized in the Gen 5 motors. If that didn't get it done; a half pint can is going to have a tough row to hoe. Just spit ball' n again. 😉

The valve cover’s breather also have its own catch can that vent to the atmosphere. The oil fill hole is also just a big O breather. The catch can have added baffles on the inside. So to think it’s still “leaking” that much is like ... DAYMMMMM!!!

It’s okay.... I’m thinking about adding port injection for my meth down the road. Cuz i highly doubt it’s close to being even.... and I’m using it more so for fuel.

You even notice the size of the puke cans on T/F motors? :crackup:Yea, not the same thing.

Ever see those commercials where they suck 30 billiard balls at a time up a pipe with a vacuum cleaner and they just hang in the air stream? (Shark)  Now picture that same event where the pipe ID is 10" in diameter instead of 2.5" but with the same volume of air moving. Couldn't hold one in the pipe. That's the effect of slowing space velocity. Baffles are good. Packing is good. But a large increase in OD of the inline air stream is better than either. Volume via ID isn't there to hold more oil, it's there to slow the gas speed to a point the fluid drops out of it. Same reason really large ports don't work well at low rpm at keeping port walls dry and fuel in the vapor state.

Again just thinking out loud. Nice motor BTW. Well done!

Ahhhhhhhh good point! :light bulb moment!!!!!: looks like I got some work to do!!!!! I’ll probably get the port pulled out and drill them bigger for pigged port next time the blower comes out. I’m on a crunch time right now. So much to do before my retune appointment on Thursday! Still gotta tap into the fuel line to add the flex fuel sensor, pull the trans to swap Tq converter, add trans cooler, get new rear tires mounted and etc.

And thank you!! Too bad it’s never ever clean like that anymore. I haven’t washed the truck in like 3 months. It just gets beat on daily. Refuel and go.

So I’ve been doing some research al night while working ..... It’ll either be upsizing the catch can to -10an lines in and out orrrrr upsizing plus rerouting to the exhaust and having it being pulled out by the exhaust.... hummmm

Thanks for the light bulb moment!

The "diss-engagement" should happen in the can, not the hoses. Think can size. Like a quart instead of a cup. Some ideas;

Hummmmmmm I see..... I was thinking if the hose was bigger, it’ll move slower and give it “more time” in the can...

And looks like someone is also into the S chassis!

According the heart breaker dyno... it’s only “480hp”. But it’ll walk on most scatpacks with minor Bolt ons. Oh and it’s only 6000lbs. Can’t wait to get it fully built and turn it up!!!! Shooting for 750+!!!

I haven't done anything recently (still waiting on the Denali cluster) but I did post up a video for my parents in Colorado.
Forgot to mention the bed cam and front lighted bow tie. 3" Motofab front level, rear 1" Motofab rear block lift, Motofab replacement Upper Control Arms (UCAs),1.5" rear Zone spring lift and 1.5" Zone body lift. 35x12.5x18" tires and Chevy black aluminum wheels and driver side assist handle and, probably a few other things I missed - it's been fun!

Do you know what the Red Line is now? The way the tach hits 6000, makes think it is higher than that.
