Coolant temp sensor repaired, fuel gauge fixed, by happenstance new hubs on the front, lower ball joints replaced, went ahead and installed the Dirt King UCAs. Diablo 87 octane tune applied and deleted AFM. Will have the custom tune from Lew soon. I'm pretty shocked at how much better my MPG is 290 mile trip back to Louisiana today. I calculated 18.5mpg, computer is saying 19.7mpg. Will be applying the bed liner and have the eibach's installed in the coming weeks.

has anyone put sliders on? if so what brand and any pics?

I want to try out a trail this summer but I want to put sliders on first my existing steps even though high up have caused me to get hung up on some rocks already, if they were sliders it would have been fine but the steps would have been mangled

this is the trail in question, if you skip thru to about 3/4 of the video you will see the technical portion

I have installed rock sliders on my previous Toyota truck/rock crawler. They were not bolt-on as they required to be welded to the frame. They were beefy and withstood the punishment that I put them through on both trips though the Rubicon Trail. I'm not sure what you're driving through the trails, but if you need rock sliders, I would look into some under-body armor, such as a transmission/transfer case skid plate and a rear diff slider. I bought most of my gear from Trailgear.com and MarlinCrawler.com.

I am driving a 2018 4x4 crew cab standard bed z71, 4.5" lift + wireless 1 air lift 5000 on the back that can give me another maybe 4" or so of rear body lift on demand.

I have skid plates, and a winch, and D rings/shackles and plenty of recovery stuff already and I am not planning on rock crawling with this thing, just trying to have a little fun and hopefully prevent any body damage should i have no option but to move across a rock. this trail is rather tame compared to others around here most of them are pretty much short wheel base jeep trails. Last time I tried to go out with some jeeps I got hung up on a pretty good sized rock with my steps, if I had sliders I probbably would have been fine. It's just the delema of running a full size on trails without 37" tires. I could run 35's without any other mods and currently have 33's and the lift which should be able to make that trail others have. I am just looking to see if anyone has any recomendations or used any particular brand as I am sure there is junk out there like anything.

I should have bought sliders instead of steps to begin with lol

Talk about shake... I just stepped down to 18s in hopes to deal with some chevy shake. Also just replaced the rear end. Still the shake remains.

Next on the parts swap list: transfer case and drive shaft.

Man I think my transmission is on the way out (starting to slipping), gonna probably get it rebuilt if I can’t find one for decent price, but on the other hand the 2023 Sierra is coming along only need front bumper, grill and dash pad. Hopefully the Silverado will hold up til this one is ready to put them 40s on it

Went on vacation in the mountains and got some good snow. New tires handled pretty good. Love remote start, heated seats and heated steering wheel(when I bought it, was like, I don't need no stinking heated steering wheels!). Glad it came with it.. :D

Took out my CF hood and put the stock one back on today. It’s been “cold” and sprinkling here in SoCal. No need for all the vents.
