Just curious. What are these supposed to do for you? Since they are illegal in your state, not sure of your goal?

Again, just curious........

Shakey

Connecticut laws restrict all additional aftermarket vehicle lighting which includes neon underglow. In Connecticut neon underglow is illegal.

The state of CT requires all non-mandatory vehicle lighting equipment to be certified, and according to ct.gov no manufacturers have certified the color or intensity of their products, essentially meaning all neon underglow is considered illegal.

In case you want to install street glow for off-road use on private property, we suggest avoiding all flashing or rotating lights, as well as colors green, blue and red as these are typically used on emergency vehicles.

Based on Connecticut’s rigorous laws driving a vehicle with non-legal aftermarket lighting installed, even if those lights are turned off and not in use, may be considered illegal.

Looks tbh. I enjoy the look. It’s usually not as bright as that picture. Usually I make it show more just the top of the tire. Cops don’t do anything about it though here with it being a lot more dim.

Just got a Christmas bonus from work and am torn on what to spend part of it on.

Option one: T-Rex LED light bar grille

https://trexbillet.com/i-23903528-zroadz-series-2-pc-main-insert-grille-w-one-20-inch-slim-line-single-row-led-light-bar-part-z311281.html

Option 2: Buy multiple items like S&B CAI, dash cam, and other smaller items that add up to roughly the same cost

Any input my friends?

If that money is burning a hole in your pocket my input would be to go with the multiple item option. I can’t get behind those grills costing that much when they are just a piece of sheet metal with angle brackets and a run of the mill light bar screwed to them. There are way cheaper options.

Unless i am missing something, TREX grills are obscenely priced and they install/function no different than your rough country, putco, or grillcraft grills of the world.

The only reason I am looking at the TREX grille is because nobody else has a light bar in the grille that fits my taste. Auto anything has the grille for quiet a bit less than everyone else. Unfortunately my truck has shutters so light bar options are limited and I tried the shutter removal option and that last long.

I hear you and figured that’s why you needed the integrated option versus us guys who have the behind the grill ability for light bars.

I say give Rough country some time, I’m betting they’ll have a grill for the Silverados soon that works with the shutters. There’s seems to be a solid demand for that option and it’s one of the most popular trucks in the market. You’re paying a premium for trex since they are the first to the market. I’d hate for you to get the grill then this summer see RC come out with a $300 grill that does the same thing.
