looks good - is it worth the money ??

Too early to tell. The fit, I'm a little disappointed in. The rubber base doesn't sit flush with roof, due to the contour of the roof. Lights are bright and work as they should. I just installed, so I will check to see how long actual run time is. Not sure it was worth the $400, but I didn't have to drill and the lights work as intended and I achieved what I was looking for so. If I can somehow get the rubber base to sit flush, I will be happy. Thanks for the interest.

Adjusted the front bumper. Passenger side was flush with fender and driver side stuck out 1/2” past the fender. Also raised it up about 1/4”. Been aiming to adjust it for a while.

Hit it with the clay bar and waxed it too.

Guy at work has them on his Ram. Said he had to bend the bases to fit the curve of his cab.

Finished detailing the truck and did the transmission thermostat delete by flipping the pill.

I have the S type.

Medium volume.

I'm thinking about getting an ATAK setup

I was going to get a set of these lights. After reading all the bad reviews I decided not to.

The two problems are the fit like you described and the run time. They don't last nearly as long as they claim.

In the winter with less daylight it's even less.

Let us know how they work for you.

I'd be curious to hear from someone with the ATAK and how it sounds at 70+ mph speeds as the S-Type on mine seems to get louder at those speeds. Maybe that's what you guys refer to as drone? I think the noise would get to me on longer trips if it were any louder at those speeds.

How easy was it to adjust? Mines off on the driver's side slightly and I've always wanted to see if I could fix that.

Just had to pop out the grill to access the bolts. There’s 3 bolts on the end of each frame rail (15mm open end wrench) and 3 bolts on each outer bumper brace. All of the holes are slotted or oversized so there’s plenty of adjustment.

I installed the ATAK side split exhaust on my truck a little over a year ago. It definitely has a louder and deeper tone than the S-Type. If you don't disable AFM it does drone (sounds like a helicopter) at around 40 MPH and then again around 65+ MPH. I bought a tuner and disabled AFM. Now it stays in V8 mode all the time and sounds mint. 👌

    • Do you remember that Harley Davidson was more successful (solvent) when it produced about 60% of the market demand (by design) and forced wait times of up to three years? Even when your turn came around it was, "Take what we are giving you or move to the back of the line and start over". HUGE markup's were 'normalized' and dealer killed. 40% markup and no floor plan? What's not to love? Greed will kill them yet. They have surplus production and customer base is tanking. And still they think nosebleed pricing will work.
    • The engine was done as part of the 6.2 recall?   You'd have to see if your VIN also has the 6.2 engine special coverage on it.  Coverage number is N252494003.  If you have this, your engine is covered under this and NOT the GM replacement part engine warranty which is 3yr/100k from the date of install.  The 3yr/100k mi warranty is in effect for non warranty purchases.     This is not any different if it was replaced under warranty without a recall or special coverage.  So if you had a 5.3 and it popped at 3 years in at 50,000mi during the 5yr/60k powertrain, the replacement engine would not get the 3yr/100k, and instead gets the remainder of the 5yr/60k as coverage.     So N252494003 gives 10 years or 150,000mi of coverage, which ever comes first, starting at the vehicle in service date.  So if your in service date is 01/01/2022, N252494003 gives you special coverage of the engine until 01/01/2032 or 150,000mi, whichever comes first.  So if your start date was 01/01/2022, you'd have left 5 years and 4 months (lets round to august 1st), or 62,000mi left of coverage.   So you need to know your in service date to know how much coverage is left.
    • Okiee dokie there bud, way to take things to the extreme.   I guess you missed the whole point and take things way to serious. I installed different EV6 style injectors that just so happen to be larger in my car running the same LQ4 engine and with a better spray pattern than the stock style injectors and I noticed no difference in the idle quality. Kinda was my round about way of saying that even if you put the same size but better style injectors in your truck, you will likely see the same thing.    I'm sure you're great to have conversations with in person if that's how you act through a keyboard. One little things sets you off and now I guess my dick is all up in your face.
    • I can't believe that could possibly be the case. It should be 36mo/100k miles from installation. Then again, it also seems like since a dealership installed it, it'd all be in the system and you wouldn't need to worry about registering, either. Shows you what I know. 😄 Hope this one outlives the warranty!
