Post your 2014+ wheel/tire set-up

Can someone explain to me what offset means exactly? I don't feel I have a good grasp on it.

 

For instance, I am considering a 20x9 fuel maverick. I believe these come in +20, +14, and +1. With either a 33 or 35" tire.

 

The offset has to do with where the center of the wheel is, correct? Assuming that is correct, which offset pushes the tires out or keeps em in tight? Or does offset even move tire placement in relation to the vehicle? Is there a significant difference in these options? I'm assuming one of these options is more likely to rub than the others...

 

Does the +20 push the tires further out than the +1? or the other way around?

 

Also for comparison, does anyone know what the stock 20" wheel offset is? I remember reading what it was, but can't find it/don't remember.

The more negative the number is the more it will stick out. A stock 20 is +27 offset

Thanks for the info man. I've got a 2.5 on mine up front so hopefully that will clear the fender. The guy I got these wheels from had a set of RT's on his truck and I'd been on the fence about them until I saw them in person. He had nothing but good things to day about them as well.

 

 

Yeah hopefully everything works out for you. I know I went with the Fabtech 4" kit which is basically a glorified leveling kit with tubular upper control arms and a drop down diff bracket and a block and new shocks for the rear. The truck rides great and I didn't have to trim anything after that. I was wondering if I were to add the Zone 1.5" body lift would I be able to run 35's?

Long time lurker, first time poster.

 

Looking to upgrade my 18" OEM's with 22" SEY's. I'm really focused on how the tire will look when its mounted. There's a certain look I like, and a certain look I don't like. I don't like how the factory tire looks. I've seen someone post some pages ago that had the Cooper Zeon LTZ's. That is the tire I'm looking for. I believe they were listed in the pic as being a 305/40/22. I think I'm going to stick with a 285/45, however when I look at Cooper's website I don't see that they make the Zeon LTZ's in a 22. I'm hoping that someone will say "you didn't look at the right spot, they make them and here they are", hence the reason for my post.

 

Anyone have any insight maybe or if not, maybe a mfg. that has a very similar style to the Zeon LTZ. Thanks!

 

EDIT: So some internet searching and I found them available in the 305/40/22. Issue I would see is they recommend a 10" rim width and the OEM's only come in a 9" that I've been able to find.

By chance, are you oem 18" 8-lug?
