pgamboa Posted May 19, 2019 Posted May 19, 2019 you are right i just looked there is another junction. i saw a purple wire going in but didn't see one coming out. i wonder if i could buy that wire with the terminals and just push them in that connection and the fuse block. If you tell me an approximate length, I can make it for you. $15 shipped. Most don’t like getting up into that connector and why I just made a complete harness. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
DES2016LT Posted May 19, 2019 Posted May 19, 2019 i don't want to mess with it either, i'd would rather buy the little harness you have in your video. that seems to be the simplest way to go.

avy Posted June 26, 2019 Posted June 26, 2019 Need a little help. Adding the heated wheel to 2018 1500 lt and I;m seeing several different clock spring part numbers along with 1st and 2nd design when reading these posts. Can someone enlighten me ?

Adding the heated wheel to 2018 1500 lt and I;m seeing several different clock spring part numbers along with 1st and 2nd design when reading these posts. Can someone enlighten me ? 2014 - 2017 clock springs kept the same 2-pin plug for the heat wheel connection down in the footwell. For 2018, they changed it up. This is what the 14-17 clock spring end for the heated wheel looks like. This is the 2018 clock spring end. From what I can tell, this was the only change. This is, of course, for 1500 trucks. The 2500/3500 trucks seem to only have (1) air bag connector versus (2) for 1500s. 14-17 clock spring - 2338196418 clock spring - 84186645Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Texas_Native Posted August 3, 2019 Posted August 3, 2019 Alright question. Reading through this thread I saw the discussion about the weight dampeners being present on the wheel for the 1500s and not the 2500/3500s. Found a wheel on eBay that states its for a 2500/3500. Comparing it to a wheel shown for a 1500 I only see these yellow pieces being different. I just want to confirm that those are what we are calling weight dampeners before I order the wrong thing. I attached the picture of both side by side and circled the items in question in blue. Thanks in advance everyone.Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

So the one on the left has the dampener on it. Not sure what year of truck you have, but the steering wheel with heat without crash assist for a 2018 is 84353110.
MNorby Posted August 3, 2019 Posted August 3, 2019 I believe the airbag wiring is different between the 1500 vs 2500/3500 as well. Seems one has 1 plug vs other has 2.
