I apologize if this has been asked before, but is there a "How To" somewhere in this 100+ page thread? I have looked online and can't anything for a 2017 Sierra. The directions that came with the shocks don't break it down to the truck. Thanks in advance!

I called Bilstein yesterday and asked about the 6112’s. He said that they had not produced any, none were in production, and that he didn’t expect any to be produced until the end of the year.

I told him that I had spoken to a dealer and was told by the dealer that one round of shipment had already gone out and that the dealer was expecting another shipment anytime. Take it for what’s its worth though because the dealer has been telling me that since middle of June.

Not sure who is telling the truth, who isnt...and who just has no clue what’s going on (besides me haha).

thinking of just going with the Bilstein 5100’s or the Icon Extended travel Coil overs and being done with it....just installed the 5160’s on the rear last night

The 6112 Run around continues.

Give up on it.

Why was this shock even introduced or mentioned?

It has been Over 3 years.

Funny thing is that the 6112 is available for the 2015-2018 Tahoe and Suburban but not the more popular 1500 Trucks.

Not yet...MRT said they didn't get the delivery from Bilstein yet and therefore obviously have shipped them out. Getting a little frustrated but I'm sure (hoping) that MRT pulls through and gets this figured out quickly as I'm needing new tires soon.

Been hearing that same thing since June. The Bilstein rep told me that a part number didn’t exist for my truck (14’). When I gave them the part number off the MRT website he said that it was incorrect. The Bilstein rep said the 6112’s were only showing on his end as fitting 2015+

They are listed in their 2018 Offroad Catalog:  6112 Front = 47-273702, 5160 Rear = 25-242515.  It's a shame they have taken so long to make these available.

For those looking for an alternative that's a step up from 5100s, you might want to give these a look:  https://www.falconshocks.com/chevy-gmc-1500  I don't know of many here using them yet, but they have a pretty good rep in the Jeep world.

For that price you might as well get fox 2.5" coilovers

The Fox 2.5's are nice, but nearly twice as expensive, so not really a good comparison.

The ones you linked are $1250, you can pick up a full set of fox for $1500-$1600 depending on sales, no?
