These trucks, especially the 16+ with their higher hood look nose high when "level".

I put a 2" block in for a .75" rear lift when I lifted the front 1.25".  Trucks look best with a rake, especially if you want to use it as a truck. Level trucks look frumpy like they have worn out springs!

Totally disagree.

Stock wheels? What's the backspacing?

Double check before putting on those camburg uca. Think the minimal amount is around 5" or so. Maybe little less is ok. Believe camburg recommends 0 offset wheels. Which is exactly what I have. Heck my stock uca had a slight rub from my stock 20's. I like the slightly aggressive look with the 0 offset as well. Pokes out about an 1- 1.5 with the cooper at3 xlt 285/65 18.

Wheels are black rhino Mozambique.

Good luck.

Another thing. I have the 6112 at max and also 1" shackle lift on the rear and they look same height. Maybe that's just cause my driveway is sloped? I'll check on flat ground today. Thought it should have at least 1" rake. No worries as I rarely tow or haul around anything atm. If I do more towing I might add bags or active suspension.

I know pics. I'll try to pop some up later.

I got the call this am that mine will be pushed back till next Friday. I'm close with the owner and told him that if shit came up, NBD. Not happy but what can I do? I have too much on my plate as it is and don't feel like being that guy.

I have the stock All Terrain 20's and they should clear the UCA without issue. I read that note on their website and went out and looked before ordering.

I also rarely tow but will be installing the Firestone kit this fall. The horse trailer barely makes her squat. Its the feed and fertilizer but that is one trip in the spring and once in the fall.

My truck has a decent rake from the factory which I hate. I' at about a 3" rake right now on stock equipment. 2014 GMC AT extended cab with 89,000 on the clock. I'm going to see how it turns out and then go from there.

That's okay man, I'llcringe every time I see a leveled truck and you'll cringe every time you see one with rake. I did tow my car and trailer last month and it was level.

If you have the same exact wheel gap front and back they look very nose high o me. My truck had 2.25 in of rake when I bought it, I've heard others have far more rake stock up

Edit. It looks like your truck is a GMC. 16 + Silverados got a new hood that sits higher than the 14-15s

You aren't the only one, most people say the same thing when the truck sits dead level regardless of the hood, they all look like they have that Cali lean. Never understood all the desire to sit level, it pretty much just announces you didn't buy a truck to use it. Anytime you put some weight in the bed or on the hitch when level it handles worse than it should, which is even more dangerous on the road in an emergency situation since the more the rear goes down the lighter the front end gets...

6112 max height, 5100, maxtrac shackle 1" lift

6112 specs say 1.85" but believe closer to 2-2 1/4 cause the shackle raised exactly 1" (while front had 2" pro comp spacers)and rake was 2.25 before mods. Now 1-1.25

2018 6.2 nht

As far as what looks/performs best everyone has their own options. Plus, it's their truck.

Personally wouldn't mind dead level or 2" rake.

Thought both looked ok. Just a tad much either way.

Glad mine came out where it is.

Good luck with your builds.

No worries man.  We all like different looks for sure.

Little better perspective. Recommend 1" rear lift if going for max height 6112. Believe shackle is preferred over block?

If not lifting rear next highest setting would probably be best. As stated earlier to each their own. I like a slight rake myself...

What's funny is if you load it up or tow it will sit level or cali lean at factory rake heights.

So, if you level it and aren't hauling anything it's the same.

Maybe very good case for bags I guess?

Hey Ya'll, new to the forum, not new to GM trucks. 2017 Silverado 2500HD Z71 double cab, 1 size over stock tires, stock ride height, 29k on the clock. I just put a set of 5100's on after much research. The rancho's were toast. Smoothed out the ride, much better and I should have done it sooner and will do it again! If you are on the fence, best $350 bucks one could spend. And strangely enough, my gas mileage jumped up by about 2 MPG.

One question I have on 5100 shocks, front & rear...can you put them on a stock truck without lifting? 2015i 2500 HD Z71 GMC

Stock tires/Rims.
