Only 1600 miles on mine so far since it was purchased new in November (I have a company vehicle for to/from work) but, no issues so far beyond the selling dealer flashing the DIC to a Chevrolet logo when they did the "peak in" update prior to my purchase.

I have a leveling kit installed so perhaps that's why I've never had complaints about the headlight coverage - they're aimed further out due to the front end no longer pointing down. No condensation noticed either.

No vibration issues, even prior to aftermarket wheels & tires. No seat movement. No heated/cooled seats so its not even subject to those issues.

The only complaint I can make is that my kids don't appreciate a new vehicle (or any vehicle) enough to stop making messes in the crew cab.

Mine has been great over the past 4600 miles. Transmission shifts good and smooth every time. I don't have a problem with the tires. My heated cloth seats get so hot that I've timed them and from the time I turn them on to the time I turn them off because I'm sweating is 8 minutes. Only problems are intermittent rattle in the dash. And my wife hit it with her van and spider webbed some paint on the front bumper.

No problems with mine either. If this was posted in the regular 2014 forum you would get more responses. I hardly ever read this part of the forum due to the amount of anger and unhappiness here.

Do you blame them?

No, I personally don't blame anyone for seeking advice here in the forum, for sharing their experiences with others (including any problems or issues they are having) and sometimes the solutions they have found or that worked for them.

The point of my posting "Lucky Ones" was to highlight through the contribution of others here and myself that NOT EVERYONE is have the same degree or extent of problems so many here complain about and that the GM 2014-KXXX are generally very good trucks that perform well.

Further to the above , I also suspect many of the issues raised here may often be the results of the owner's themselves (but certainly not all).

Put me down as a 'lucky' one too. I have owned several GM trucks since I switched from Toyota in 1999. My current Sierra is my 6th truck and I have almost NO PROBLEMS with any of them.

My new '15 Sierra is awesome with the exception of the headlights/fog lights which don't come close to the Sierra it replaced.

My opinion is that there is nothing lucky about it. GM does and has always built a great truck. People go to forums to complain. A lot more complainers than those of us who are "enthusiasts".

In my year of ownership, I've never talked to one 14+ Silverado/Sierra owner who had even one problem.

I'm talking to people all the time about their trucks..... not one problem with any of them. Not even a trip to the dealership! (a few recalls, but that's it).

* 3/4 of a million sold in 2014... they must be doing something right!

Before I bought mine I talked to a few people I know who had one. None had any of the problems posted here. I even talked to a few strangers about theirs and got the same response.

10 months and almost 14,000 miles and I need to think hard and nit pick something to complain about - a very good indication that I don't have any complaints, the truck has been a great truck!

About the only thing I can think of is that sometimes when I have the blower motor on high and turn it down, it acts like it's on a delay or something and seems like it takes 10 - 20 seconds for the fan speed to finally lower.

They built this one very well!

Had some condensation in my headlights for the first couple weeks...it was also nasty cold out then. That seems to have gone away with a little bit warmer weather. Pretty much flawless otherwise

Another point well stated....the array of complaints found here on the forum (some of which appear to be petty gripes, and other which are indeed more dissapointing) are not truly representative of the wider association of owners, That said, if I did not own one myself and dropped into this forum reading all the listed and various complaints I admit I'd be skeptical. Happy that's not the case for me and others like yourself who are enjoying the ownership of their new GM trucks. Bravo.

I for one stand behind the mantra of "professional grade".

I hopped on here prior to test driving a sierra because I wanted to see what owners were saying so I could look for things while test driving. I never had owned a gmc/Chevy and wanted to get some real world feedback. After browsing the problems listed, nothing stood out to make me think twice about checking one out beyond thousands of headlight output complaints. Well, it took about 1.5 hours total from the test drive to leaving the lot with a new 2015 sierra and paper work all done. Obviously wasn't enough major things I saw to steer me to another brand. So happy I got mine, I don't think anything else looks as good inside or out. As soon as I got in the driver seat, I just smiled ear to ear, and would have taken it without even taking it for a spin truth be told.

Bought my wife a 2014 impala ltz for mothers day. We loved it so much she let me buy my truck 4 months later. Her cars only been in for maintenance. .. sorry to say my truck doesn't have the same testimonial. Hadn't had vibrations since third set of tires and replaced rear rims. Still love GM.....owned 12 GM products before these. I'm a loyal customer!
