GMC or chevy

Keep drinking the Kool Aid man...lol

I dunno, a statement like that is very important to people when shopping for vehicles. If GM themselves won't give Chevy the Professional Grade rating as well, then you know they have some serious concerns about the quality and finished product! When you're sitting in a bar with your buddies, there is nothing like talking about the Professional Grade-ness of your truck over a few beers.

You do know that they are essentially that exact same vehicle?!? That "Professional Grade" rating you've think you purchased is only a marketing scheme to pull more money out of a$$hats' pockets looking for a little more "prestige" or status symbol in their truck purchase.

It's still the same truck as my Silverado. With crappier headlights.

Almost ALL of the parts interchange. It's just marketing. :koolaid back at ya!:

The Silverado front clip looks way better than the GMC with its dumb fishmouth grille. The GMC headlights also look stupid and apparently have the crappy performance to go with their crappy look!

Also, the current GMC logo is a$$. The letters are too close together and compared to GMC logos of the past it leaves a lot to be desired. Don't even get me started with the Denali owners-- they pay even more of their hard earned money on a stupider looking grille.

That said, the Sierras are still sweet trucks even with their stupid looking front ends. I just like dogging GMC owners for their obvious inferior taste to Silverado owners! :)

Everyone is due their opinion but sometimes the smarter person doesn't always share everything they may be thinking. Enjoy your Chevy.

Buy the one that you like and is the best deal. I haven't found anything not to like yet about my GMC; except the headlights and they're in the process of being upgraded. I'll get the upgrade when the bulbs arrive this week. Other than that, the important parts are all pretty much the same parts.

C'mon guys, I was being sarcastic. Otherwise, why would I have not one, but two Chevy's in my signature? Although my next truck will be a Sierra just so that I get some different scenery for a change, haha.

I just remembered a thread awhile back where someone had specifically asked if the GMC was better than the Chevy because it was "Professional Grade". That tagline has provided me many hours of amusement.

Where?

lol

I was actually in search of a Chevy but ended up with the GMC because I bought it during the President's Day event and it qualified for the $7250 rebate. Couldn't touch that price in a bowtie.

The headlights have been fixed on the sierra's. I love mine, two of my buddies have Silverado LT's I have a Sierra SLE, my Sierra has a few more features than their Chevy's do such as soft touch dash & chrome window sills but, w/ that said I'd be game for a Chevy if the deal was right, I do prefer my GMC if price is the same.

Love the led drl on my gmc, projector lighting is quite shatty to say the least. Didn't care about the headlight issues really as I read about them long before making the purchase; those are an easy fix (some will say who needs to fix lights on a $50k truck myself included lol). I like the projector vs dual lights also.

That said, I absolutely love love love the Chevy grilles, I wish it could be swapped with the sierra.

As far as the chrome goes, I'm taking most of it off lol.
