Top is leveled with RC 2.5"with toyo MTs, bottom is stock.

 

If you take care of your vehicle, you will be fine. Who cares if you need to replace ball joints in 100k miles, that's part if maintenance

Looks great! At first I thought it was too high in the front, but that appears to be a camera angle thing. Is there any lift in the rear with this kit? Where did you purchase?

It's the 2.5" kit, which is 2" block under the shock and a 1/2" spacer on top. Then it comes with a 2" block for rear to replace the 1" blocks.

 

It still has some rake, but not as bad as stock

Perfect. Exactly what I'm looking for. I plan on using the stock 18" wheels with some Goodyear Duratrac's when I can afford them. I want to avoid any "issues" at all costs. I've run Duratrac's on my last truck for a few years, and they are awesome tires.

Never heard of a tcase drop kit. If you're referring to a front diff drop kit, you don't need to worry about it on a level kit, that's only for true lift kits and at that point it is built in with the drop crossmembers and such

Ok, next "newby" question. (New to GMC, that is) I see that a lot of you are leaving that front air dam in place. Just personal preference?

I started with the 2" RCfront lift to get the lowered front look gone. 2" seemed a little high once installed for a while, so I went with the rear spacers from the 2 1/2" RC level kit (you can buy them seperately). I like the way it looks now, has a little bit of rake to it.

Creamy butter, don't even think twice. Go get the lift done ASAP

I'd go with the taller 2.5 ish inches up front and add an inch block to the back. My brother in law, did the truxxx lift leveler to his GMC AT and it's one sick ride.

On my 14 Silverado, I did the truxxx lift. On my 15 Silverado I used a Ready lift kit, which added 2.25 " up front and 1.25" in the back.

Lift/leveling kits really improve the look of these trucks. Plus the added clearance is appreciated when driving off road!

Stock 4x4s shouldn't look like street trucks. I put a MotoFab 1.5" level off ebay on mine. Went up to 265/70/18 32.6x10.7 Hankook Dynapro ATM tire and now it looks like the 4x4 sticker belongs on it. I also took the front air dam off and I've lost less than 1mpg. It still has a little rake so when I pull a small trailer with hunting gear it isn't nose high. I'm currently looking into getting another set of wheels and tires. Possibly 33x11.5 or 33.5x12 on 17's with an offset between 0 and +12. Everything I've researched says both wil fit just fine.

nice truck. I had Toyos A/t Open countrys on my last truck and they were the best tires I have ever owned. They did great all year long. I loved them.

    • I'm looking at carpal tunnel surgery on my left hand and lumbar fusion. 
    • While waiting for parts I have been working on installing the AC compressor, new accumulator, and orifice tube. Also changed out the high side ball valve (original). The orifice tube that was in there wasn't too bad. Slightly dirty, a little bit of junk, but not blocked. Glad I changed it out.   The accumulator, which should have been a 5 minute job, may have just burned $50. Put some PAG in it, wrote the date and mileage on the side, fresh o-rings and gooey'd up the threads and rings with Nylog. Got everything connected and snugged and was going to vacuum down the system, and....   My manifold gauge won't fit on the port. It's not an R12 service port. It LOOKS like an R134 service port but the diameter is a hair too large. There's a sticker on the accumulator that says it's designed to be used with R12 and R134a systems only. So it's not R1234yf. Even if I reduced the diameter slightly with a file, the shoulder on the port is too large so the quick-connect valve won't lock on. I'm stumped. It's going back, and 50/50 on if they'll give me a refund.   Also, I did a fuel pressure test.... Key on, the gauge spikes to about 60psi and quickly bleeds off, like 2psi per second. The fuel isn't going into the plenum, no smell, starts fine, so I'm guessing there's a bad check valve in the pump and the fuel is just draining back into the tank. oh, hell. But, it shouldn't be a problem, pump primes just fine and the truck starts right up. It just means I can't really ever use fuel pressure to verify a leak at the injector or intake.
    • Got this yesterday out of nowhere. Truck is a 25',6.6 gasser with 8k miles.  Only semi anomaly is that the truck had been sitting, uncranked for 6 days. Elec Stability Control showed immediately upon cranking, not while driving. No drivability issues, just the message. Battery didn't seem to be weak when cranking over.  I drove it, killed it, let it sit a few hrs with no avail.  Truck is 100% stock. No damage. 
    • This can be done.  It is not cheap and requires an instrument cluster swap with custom programming, new steering wheel with the controls on it, and a special jumper harness.   The cluster upgrade - 12.3” Digital Cluster Upgrade – 2022.5–2026 Silverado / Sierra (T1 Refresh Pickup) - WAMS   The wheel upgrade - Steering Wheel Upgrade Kit – 2022.5–2026 Silverado / Sierra (T1 Refresh Pickup) - WAMS   The column harness upgrade - 2019 - 2026 Silverado / Sierra: Steering Wheel LIN Bus Harness - Harness Dr. - DIY Done Right     The problem with doing all of this?  You pretty much can't have any programming done to your truck that involves the cluster ever again.  The dealer won't be able to program the cluster as GM's system will only pull data for the cluster the truck came with.  So it would be advised also to turn off over the air updates.   TLDR;  Should have bought an LT double cab?  You'd have a power seat, the wheel controls, the cluster, all things that you've been seeking in your various posts so far about your new WT regular cab.
