I've had the Super 44 & now the Super 40 on my 15 GMC 5.3.

Been debating 18" or 14". I'm think I'm going with the 14".

The flowmasters are very aggressive and sound horrible in V4 mode. I don't mind a bit of cabin drone, but imo the V4 mode makes the truck sound cheap. There's also a few gears that give the truck a muffled sound. Hopefully this is all corrected with the Magnaflow.

Here is my video withe the same setup. I agree 100% with everything OP said. As far as I know my video was the one that helped him make his decision

****Make sure to listen to them with high quality headphones or via bluetooth in your truck for most accurate sound clip

Had the 18" on there too.

I had the Super 44 on my 08 Silverado and while it sounded good when I got it, I couldn't wait to get rid of it after having it on for a few years. Droned something awful. Now that I have magnaflow on this truck, I don't see myself ever going to anything else. Especially for the price and the way it sounds is just music to my ears. Hopefully my videos in the above post help you out.

Your 14" vid sounds fantastic! Thanks for posting these up....very helpful. So your muffler shop just installed the muffler and then added a new length of pipe from there all the way back to exit?

Yep, Cut the factory muffler, flapper and resonator out and welded the new muffler along with 3" pipe from muffler back and welded my tip on.

I ordered mine, dual out part #12198. Will be installed tomorrow. I'll try and post a before and after video using the Flowmaster S40.

Our cold startups are made up of 70 degree weather lol.

On a side note, some mornings I'll purposely stand 5-10ft behind the exit of my exhaust and remote start it...just makes me all warm and fuzzy inside

Whats the difference in the 14" and 18" sound wise?

This is exactly what Ive been looking for, Thanks for posting the videos and write ups.

Currently I can hear the S40 startup while in the shower, it actually rattles my house... Not sure what the neighbors think lol.
