Fram from Walmart. All my UOA's (used oil analysis) have come back just fine. No signs of elevated silicon.

Stock paper ones from GM. I had the Airaid dry unit in the truck but a few months ago I posted pictures showing how the rubber lip on the filter is a lot smaller in height and narrower than the GM one and the Airaid leaked dirt around it. The paper filter doesn't show any loss of performance or airflow and I don't have to clean it..

K&N drop in. I clean it once a year. While it is drying and I'm letting the oil penetrate (usually a couple of days, then I wipe any excess oil to keep the MAP clean), I run a stock paper. We ran K&N in our dirt race cars until this year and have swapped over to R2C to give it a try. After years on the dirt track we never found ANY dust on the air cleaner base beyond the K&N filter. It was just the cost and time of cleaning and oiling weekly that made us consider the R2C. A few races and I'll know if the R2C is a keeper.

I know your your asking about just the filter but I've got AirAid cold air system. No change in MPG. THE SOUND IS AWESOME. Very happy with it. Amazon had the best price. I just had 40 series Flowmaster installed (left resonator on, for now) and at full throttle the intake takes over with the sound. Very aggressive.

We're on the same track...My Airaid MIT arrives today and had my 40 series delta installed wednesday (left resonator as well but it might be coming off this weekend). Planning to leave my stock paper in and review replacements when it's time to change it out...

Nice. I love it. Aggressive sound. Let me know about the exhaust after cutting off the resonator. I want to know if any drone.

Basic Fram they sell at Canadian Tire. Whoever owned the truck before me put in an oiled K&N but oiled it up like the Exxon Valdez. There was so much oil dripping of this thing, cleaned it up and put in the Fram paper filter.

OP,

For my truck AC Delco has two filters......a HD and a reg. i think the HD has high holding capacity so it can go a long time and probably be better if used on construction sites, dirt and gravel roads....the other I assume is just a good, plain filter.
