It was not bad at all. The hardest part was getting the nut on the back side of the aluminum to get the bar on due to a bolt on the truck being sort of in the way. I just had to put the bolt to the aluminum and screw the bolt on rather than push the bolt through first which is seen below.

Do law enforcement give you a hard time when you running the lights @ night?

Or does it depends on your state or county laws etc..? I live in Tennessee.

[/url] Lightbar was $25 from amazon. The wiring and switches and inline fuse, did not cost more than $40. 

I like this mounting location. I wonder what it would look like with a piece of smoked plexiglass in front of it. Block the light bar and make it a little more hidden. Obviously some light would be lost but.

If i did that I’d probably spend more on the plexiglass than the actual light bar[emoji23] it was only $25 but I do like the idea for a more expensive light bar

I bought this LED kit for $13.99, it had enough modules to do the interior and the bed. I'm very impressed with the quality for the cost of these modules.

 

The modules are UL listed, waterproof and pre-wired. The kit came with a harness, additional wire, real 3M adhesive pads, and screws if you chose to hard mount the modules.

 

The light is 5000k, and looks to me just slightly yellow to the factory interior lights although that might just be the surface its shining on, its very close.

 

I used 1 module at each seat and put the remaining 8 modules in the bed in addition to the factory bed lights. The bed has areas under the rail where the steel is stamped at an angle that made a perfect spot to mount these lights.

1) Removed my AM/FM antenna whip and will be installing "hidden antennas," when they come in. Cleaner look and I don't really listen to AM or FM, but will need them for my scanner.

1) Window tint across top 4-5" of windshield, down even with the lane departure camera housing. Should cost less than $30.

5) MAYBE #15

I did the led for the reverse light and no luck with the back up camera image did you have the same problem

Sorry. I just saw this, but i have yet to have an issue with them. I don't drive with them on all the time. Normally my back roads in town and i always turn them off when a car comes. I live in CT but have used them in Vermont and soon upstate New York which was why i put them on to begin with. The back roads up where i go snowmobiling do not have street lights and last time i drove up there i hit a deer after reaching the top of a hill. But the cops in my town dont even go after my grill lights either. Multiple kids have them in my town and i have them on my car too. Could just be luck. Not sure. But soon i will be buying a DOT one so i can argue the ticket better.

I did have to trim off a piece on the side and the bolt underneath.  Only took about 5 mins to do.   The only thing I don't particularly like is that the cross brace prevents the lid from opening all the way.  So to avoid that, I don't have the back lid snapped in.  Still stays put though.   I put a qt of oil, some tire plugs, some gloves and a couple rags in there for now.  will probably try to put in a small socket set and a couple odd tools.
