Rumour has it, there's finally a bulletin for the pinion gear that has caused some of the vibration issues.Had mine fixed in 2014.

Ya, I'm in property management, lol. No idea what a carrier ring is. I was told the pinion gear in my rear end had to be replaced. Something to do with a "pre loaded"

Bearing being screwy, so the drive shafts free wheeled instead of having tension on it.

They fixed it a few months after I bought in 04. No problem since. Mechanic that fixed it told me there's now a bulletin for it.

The pinion and ring gear are matched sets...to replace one, both get replaced.

Just had my rear end replaced by the dealer under warranty. It used to roll quite a bit when put in park. Now it doesn't move an inch.
