LED Foglight locations??

Anyone here try to install the flushmount LED foglight pods in the lower valance where the tow hooks usually go? I don't have the tow hooks on my truck so I was just wondering what it would look like or if anyone has already done it. Maybe even a single row light bar going across from where the hooks would usually be, in the small space that's there?? Here's a pic of where I'm talking about.post-167112-0-36947200-1502298296_thumb.jpg

I'm torn between trying this or just getting a bull bar. I like the bull bars/push bars but then I like the look of the front end and don't want to cover it. :dunno: Decisions, decisions...

That's funny, yesterday I was just looking at my recovery hooks thinking that an LED pod would fit there quite well.

LOL... I haven't taken any measurements yet but it looks like a 6" would fit on the ends and maybe a 24" single row in the middle. If it's not raining today or this weekend, I might take some measurements and see what kind of brackets I might need to fab up. Sounds like a nice little project in the works.

I like how some folks put one in the grill looks nice lit up.

They make different grills for them so the light isn't behind it

That's really a low position. You get better lighting when the lights are closer to eye level.

This was another concern of mine also.

I really like these two but there's no way in hell my wife would let me spend that much on a grill with some lights... LOL This would be classified as one of those "it's better to ask for forgiveness rather than permission" purchases.

Get a couple of these and put them in the upper corners of the grill. They'll fit. The S2 Pro is 2450 lumens each.

What are you trying to do? Do you want actual lights for fog or just additional lighting?

I have kind of the best of both worlds... LED Rigid Industries fog lights but also Rigid Industries LED pods behind my factory grill. The fog lights are excellent in the fog, snow, etc. Very bright but low enough that I don't get high beams flashing at me from oncoming traffic. The LED pods behind the grill are tied to my high beams and are only used on back roads. Lights up everything like a Christmas tree...

I would see no issue with them mounting where the recovery hooks would go. Rigid has a lot of different sized pods.

Wow! Kinda pricey, but nice.

I want them as replacements for my factory fogs and additional lighting. Me and the family go camping sometimes and the roads out there are dark at night, no lights, surrounded by trees kind of dark. I had a 52", 24" and four 4", 2 in place of the factory fogs and 2 in the rear bumper hooked up to the reverse lights, LED lights on my Tahoe before I got this truck and it would light up the world, I loved it. My wife doesn't want me to put one on the roof again so I have to put them in other places, preferably hidden. What size do you have behind the grill?
