Owner's Manual Pouch

When I bought my 2014 I was shocked that the OM came in a Ziploc bag and not a vinyl pouch like my 2006 did.......so I went back after hours and the 2006 was not locked so......

on a side note my 2017 Toyota 86 base model sporty car has a nice magnetic black pouch so after all my small glitches with GMC it will be my last GM pouch is icing on dat cake

I was surprised by this as well.  My '16 Silverado is my first Chevy Truck.  I converted from being a Dodge guy for many years.  All my Dodge vehicles came with nice leather cases to hold the book and documents.

Somewhat related, does everyone keep all the booklets in their truck? I have in the past but I like the glovebox space so I'm thinking of taking them out as I don't often need them.

My OM (and other assorted inserts) stays in the house, next to my easy chair.  Always kept them that way.  I do put them back in the car/truck when I sell them though.

I have a 2017 Silverado LT Z71 (Midnight edition), and YES, it came with a paper owner's manual in the glovebox along with a couple of other manuals. You should have gotten one. (in a ziplock bag!)

Did you get a funnel for the capless fuel tank? That was in the glovebox as well.

Huh.  I just looked through mine today and definitely don't have a manual, although I have some other booklets.  I do have a manual supplement about child seats, but no manual! Nice...

Call GM or ask the dealer to get you one.

The child seat supplement was a 'recall' on my truck. At my first service visit, the dealer threw a hastily stapled hand made supplement in my glovebox. A few weeks later, I got the proper supplement in the mail from GM.

Ziplock bag. But for $15ish this is perfect. High Road Auto Document Case and Glove Box Organizer https://www.amazon.com/dp/B000HZRTDE?ref=yo_pop_ma_swf

Another vote for this pouch. The manuals fit in this perfect and fits in the glove box great. Sure beats our 50 thousand dollar zip lock bag.

On second thought I might put the manuals and new pouch back in the zip bag. Knowing how much gm spent on our bags, I just hate throwing it away

My '18 came with paper manuals in a ziplock.  Far cry from the nice binder my BMW's manuals fit into with their own special spot in the trunk.  Wife's Audi has a nice binder too.  Both with MSRP's lower than the 61k sticker on my truck, though I guess that is meaningless as neither sold with incentives like these trucks do.  My previous Escalade EXT at least had a vinyl holder.

There’s now a leather like (leatherish?) version available, on Amazon B078142N6X.

I still have the cloth version, and for my personal tastes I think it is perfect for the truck. Maybe the nicer one would be more at home in a Yukon.. [emoji2]

I just bought a 2018 Chevrolet Silverado LTZ and mine came in a blue pocket pouch with snaps.
