Need rear step disassembly help

2017 GMC 3500HD Denali

I pulled a bonehead move this afternoon.  As I backed into my driveway, I waved back to a neighbor and backed into my trailer.  The trailer tongue damaged the plastic step and bent in the socket for the spare tire.  I'm reasonably sure I can fix the bend near the spare tire socket, but need to remove the plastic bumper step piece in the process. 

 

Anyone know how the step is removed?  (are there any gotchas or hidden clips to snap, etc)  

 

And where I can source a replacement (as it's now got some ugly marks on it)?
