Is there a known percentage of how many leak?

GM may know but, if they do, I'm sure they'd never divulge it.

Sorry to hear that. Hopefully it gets fixed. Was it a slider window or full?

I tried reading this whole thread and people have mentioned they heard of those with the solid window leaking too but not one owner has stated theirs leaked. Can anyone confirm this? Just hate dealing with this and keep checking every time I wash it or it rains. It happened on my Tacoma and I had to replace the third brake light to fix it so I’ve been there before.

Hey all,

I came across this thread on accident a while ago. Thought I was a lucky one, but after having a series of other issues with my truck, I went out to my truck with a flashlight, and sure enough 2 basketball size water marks on my headliner and water streaks down my window. Well, truck went to the shop for 28 days getting everything fixed. Dealer explained it was my brake light and spoiler leaking. So they pulled those, resealed, removed front window to replace headliner, replaced all damaged items in the cab, and caulked my rear window. Picked up 2 days ago, and first thunderstorm and its leaking again. Fun icing on the cake is as I was driving today after seeing the leak and the check engine light is on yet again which is another ongoing issue. This truck is teaching me a lot about patience, although for me this is now the 9th time it will be in the shop in 6 months of ownership, a total of 45 accumulated days that its been in for repairs, and the 3rd repeat repair issue I've had that wasn't fixed the first time. Give your dealers a chance to make it right, keep things in perspective especially in these times. Although for me, Im needing another solution as enough is enough.

I have the solid rear window and mine doesn't leak, truck is a year old.

But if I had a leaking rear slider I would just clear silicone all the way around the window and be done.

Here’s a fun one. Had rear window sealed, started leaking again, in the process messed up the sun shade, so now they have to replace the whole sunroof track and drop the headliner. Replaced a panel they scratched and messed another one up in the process. Horrible horrible work by the dealer, almost comical at this point.

I really wanted to buy this truck but now I think I would be foolish to do so.

Buy one with a solid window [emoji848]

Ive been tracking this thread for some time.  Had my truck in today for this issue.  Not leaking a ton but more water than I want in my truck.  Service guy is telling me its the 3rd brake light.  He said that there was a TSB on it.  I dont recall reading much on the third light.  Just the spoiler getting recaulked and windows.  Maybe he was mistaken but it sounds like your dealer told you the same thing.  I am not holding my breath on this but I will play their game for now.

Thats my next step at this point. 3 different infotainment repairs, leaking pinion seal repair, brake failure, master cylinder leak, CEL for brake control module communication error 2x and still unresolved, leaking rear window, now back to the shop for rear window again. 22% of my days of ownership its been in the shop. Also, GM has stopped returning calls once I requested a resolution. Not every owner has it this bad. Ive been extremely patient over the past 6 months, but GM needs to own up that this isn't the experience they want for their owners. Holding things loosely these days given much more important issues in our world, but still pushing this along expecting a resolution soon.

I haven't read all 128 pages, but does anyone know if there is a permanent fix?  Or, is it just the sealing TSB that came out last year?  I was just curious because my '20 was built in Indiana on 2/12/20 and so far so good.  But, I just wonder if any '19-'20 is eventually doomed to have a leak at some point.  It appears there is a defect in the rear window frame and if GM has continued to use the same vendor so far, then it's reasonable to assume this issue will become much larger than it is now, and it's already pretty dang big.

Ingersoll Auto of Danbury CT.  Salesman was Dave B.  And service was Don.  Great place and great guys.   Would HIGHLY recommend

I’m really reluctant to write this post because I’m sure it’ll bite me, but here goes. It’s rained for the last 24 hours and times pretty hard. No water on the back window or headliner. Fingers crossed. Good luck to the rest....
