Mine is a clicking. I don’t know how to post a video on here then I would show you. Shop can’t replicate the sound apparently which is a bummer.

Go back a few posts and see my video. You can hear mine click a few times. Does it sound like mine?

That’s my sound. Must’ve been another video I watched on the comments here.

Well an update sorta.  Thursday GM called me and told me they were going to replace my truck with a new one of equal feature.  They said they'd call me back today with details but have not heard from them.   Tried calling my rep but no answer and no returned call after leaving a couple of messages.  Thursday during the call they wanted to three way call the BBB and drop my complaint immediately. I told them no and now I'm back to being ignored it seems.  Poor customer service and it doesn't seem to bother them.  I spoke with the lady from the BBB today and she said I had eligible Lemon Law case so I guess that's the route I'm gonna have to go.  Can't believe how long this has gone on and how out of touch the people that can actually really help you are.

I had the same issue minus the BBB stuff. I couldn't get a call back about my case, and they would screen my calls. As soon as I called from a different number my case rep would answer. They wouldn't allow me to talk to management either. Their customer service is truly a joke.

Can you pm me your dealers name and service writer's phone number and your work order number? Mine is scheduled for the jingle fix on Friday and I'll tell them it didn't fix yours, I'd like to give them the name and phone number in case they'd like to call them. I'd rather not have them do it if it doesn't fix it.

your better off letting them try to fix it. that way you have more attempts at repair documented if you decide to lemon law the truck.

The dealer isn't going to care that it didn't fix someone's else's truck. They are doing this fix per what GM is telling them to do.

Exactly what ^^he^^ said let them try it out. It may fix it. It may not. It didn’t for me and probably won’t for you. However, it’s another attempt for your records. I called the dealership and Chevy and of course im waiting for a call back. I don’t remember if I asked or if this has been asked already but does this effect trailbosses as well?

Did you get the old parts or did you see them? I find it hard to believe GM would make that big of mistake. I would tend to believe the mechanics only did part of the work.

I never saw parts. Not really my job to do that. They ordered the parts that were supposed to fix the issues as per tsb. I’m waiting for call back

There are some shady things happen at some dealerships. Some caused by lazy techs. I feel for ya, but when do you call BS and enough is enough. Dumping it like I did is extremely costly. Wishing you luck!

Taking my truck in on Friday so service can go with me for drive so they can hear the.noise. What I'm reading here isn't encouraging. The jingle noise can really get on your nerves.

Does the front axle still have the movement/slop where it enters the differential?

The dealership called me today after they installed the so called FIX and it didn't work. The jingle is still present. He said he was going to call the engineer, I suggested they put a front axle made by GM, they seem to not have a problem.  My have to end up hiring a lemon lawyer

Can someone answer me this.

Aside from the noise, will this have long term effect if left unfixed or is it just an annoyance?

I have a clicking on mine with the occasional jingle, but it's almost always a click.

Maybe because I have a Trail Boss.

I think I rather deal with the click than have those morons work on it and risk messing something up.
