diyer2 Posted July 22, 2024 Author Posted July 22, 2024 More rain yesterday, overcast all day, no hail. 40 degrees here, 60 in the house, bit chilly. Forecast high of 60. 1
Black02Silverado Posted July 22, 2024 Posted July 22, 2024 Not here, 88 today, 90's the rest of the week with high humidity. Winter is a long way off for us. 1
customboss Posted July 22, 2024 Posted July 22, 2024 Keep raining on us in CO please! All afternoon cumulus like years ago. It is hotter overall though, June was second hottest June on record for area here in Southern CO.
diyer2 Posted July 23, 2024 Author Posted July 23, 2024 High of 62 yesterday, 44 this morning. What I remember normal is 50's - 70's. 1
KARNUT Posted July 27, 2024 Posted July 27, 2024 Returning home after 5 days the temperature never got out of the eighties. Plus 14 inches of rain. I’m glad I live on a hill. I was able to put the mower on about one third of my mowing area.
Grumpy Bear Posted August 6, 2024 Posted August 6, 2024 Last night I finally got caught up on the yard from the July 15 storm. Sort of. It fought me every step of the way. The heat and humidity were brutal. I was mowing an hour or so in the morning before 10 am and an hour or so after 5:30 pm. Still showering twice a day. Sopping wet constantly. This morning, I wake up to find it in the low 60's with a nice breeze. And the drive gear in the mower started acting out on the last few passes last night. Wife says, "You haven't been helping in the basement,", which got the side eye..."The again, you've been pretty busy", she modified.

After the hurricane I went out of town for 5 days. During that time we had 14 inches of rain on top of the five plus just before. I mowed where the tires wouldn’t spin. With morning temperatures in the eighties with the usual high humidity. That was worse with ground saturation. Plus extremely happy grass from all the rain. The engine on the mower laboring like I’ve never seen, even at the highest mower setting. Because it’s so miserable here even with all the preparation I do to work outside. Pulling a cooling towel out of the fridge for around my neck. A special shirt for sweat evaporation. The sweat poor is a steady stream. The end of September can’t come fast enough. If I didn’t love living in the country so much. I’d have a condo for the winter in Texas and somewhere up north for the winter. 1
diyer2 Posted August 6, 2024 Author Posted August 6, 2024 It was 52 here this morning. Yesterday rain, lower than normal temps. 1

Grumpy Bear Posted August 10, 2024 Posted August 10, 2024 In the 50's this morning. A bit early in the season for us to get that cool at night. Dry though. Good! slows the mow.
diyer2 Posted September 5, 2024 Author Posted September 5, 2024 Just had a big storm, lots of lighting, 2 inches of small hail and 40 degrees, 64 in the house. Do I need to turn on the heat? Start a fire in the fireplace? 1
