I have a RetraxPro XR for my 2019 Sierra 1500 Standard Bed and like it but I'm going to sell it and get a shell for the dog and kid gear.

Let me know if anyone is interested in a RetraxPro XR in great condition, I'll make you a great deal.  I have the Yakima bars that go on top if interested!

Does the Undercover Ultra Flex rail clear the folding assist handle in the bed of the Sierras with  MultiPro tailgate? Would appreciate anyone that has one posting some pics with the tailgate down showing their rail clamp location along the driver side close to the tailgate and around the assist handle.

Anyone?  Thanks!

I've been a big fan of Truxedo in the past, specifically the Lo Pro. But I'm trying to save some money this time around, so I ordered the Gator ETX from Amazon based on some feedback I've seen on this forum (and the fact that it looks exactly like a Truxedo in pictures). Unfortunately, they sent me the wrong one, so I'm in the process of getting it replaced. It did lead to an interesting finding though. I called Gator support and they needed me to send them some info, and the email address they gave me was a Truxedo address. Based on that and the looks, build, etc, I'd say that Gator seems like it's just a re-branded Truxedo. The one I'm sending back looks good, and seems like the quality will be just fine when I get the right one installed.

I went and actually checked out a showroom today that had 9 different covers on display.   If you haven't checked out the Retrax line, I highly suggest it.  They are BY FAR the most expensive but they are without a doubt made better, offer a lifetime warranty and they just work really well!   If you are buying a $40-70k truck I can't understand why you would skimp and put a $200 cover on it!

I'm having mine installed right now at Bedliners Plus in Irvine. The undercover ultra does fit with the handle. The handle has to be removed for the install and the rail is notched so that when the handle is reinstalled, everything works as expected.

Thanks for the info - appreciate it.  If you get a chance before this evening, take some pics with the tailgate down near the handle & post them.  Just interested where the clamp near the tailgate will go.

Just went over the install and there was an adjustment needed for the handle. The cover came with a bracket meant to mount in the corner where the handle is currently installed. The handle is supposed to be removed and the bracket installed then the handle mounts back on top of the bracket. The problem is that the bolts are factory mounted inside the bed and aren't long enough to reuse like this. So we installed the bracket further back in on the rail just behind the handle. The bracket meant for the handle is also not painted whereas the ones that mount on the rail are so they sprayed it for me. I'm guessing that because it was meant to sit behind the handle it wasn't meant to be seen. I'll post a pic shortly.

I must say, that ReTrax cover is awesome!

Thank you for sharing this!

Here is a picture of the install. All 4 guides are now installed on the rails as opposed to the instructions showing to install the one on the handle mount. Works great and locks perfectly.

I've watched several install videos for 2019 GM trucks - none had the assist handle which figures?  I may be able to slide the included light onto the rail first and not have to take off the assist handle at all.  That I can think of, that should be the only thing which would get in the way of the assist handle based on the install videos that I watched.  The clamp in that area can be installed without removing the handle as well.

I'll get it figured out - thanks for the additional info & especially the pic!

Got the Ultra Flex installed this evening. Didn’t have to remove the assist handle since I slid the LED light bar on the rail first like I mentioned earlier. Ended up looking almost exactly like your pic as far as bracket & light bar locations. Pretty pleased with it but will have to see how the weather strips behave after a couple of weeks in the sun. Will double check alignment as well - got it close enough for now.

Thanks again for the info & pic - made things much simpler once my dumb a$$ figured out exactly where the brackets fit into the rail. A bird crapped on it not 2 hours after I was done ?
