There is a 2020 Sierra that arrived yesterday in Rochester NY. I looked it over fairly well, but did not test drive it. It is a  Crew Cab SLT with the 6.6. White with the light tan interior.

 

First impression was not great, interior, knobs and switch gear seems sub par for a $65K  truck.

 

I am sure it will grow on me, but not until some discounts are available.

I know the 1/2 ton is an ltz. The HD looks like an LT trail boss or something. I was referring to the general looks though.. The 1/2 ton is definitely growing on me but I just cant understand what GM was thinking when they designed the HD... Its ugly IMO

I keep mistaking the 1/2 for the Colorado/Canyons in pictures already, especially with the short short bed.  Don't even need the help of having it parked next to an HD.

Talked w/ 'knowledgeable' dealer here in NC that 'understands there's a hold and doesn't expect them until early Sept.'

Not sure if I buy that. 

 

Seems there are a bunch built and waiting for staging in closer delivery areas for ultimate delivery. 

August has always been a part of these conversations with dealers... this is a first that September has come up.

Starting to show up on lots everyday now. I've been checking auto trader everyday. Several black ones on lots throughout the country. I'm waiting on a white one. One hit the lot yesterday in St. Louis. Called this morning, was going to drive from GA to get it and it was already sold!! Gotta catch them quick! I've also noticed several dealerships are offering a $6500 discount which gets the AT4 that I want down to $70,000.

Dealership by me has 8 of them on the lot, I stopped and looked at them one day last week and I tell ya the front end is just flat out ugly the rest of the truck is nice but I just cant get past that ugly ass front end.

I really think the High Country front end looks great but the trims below that not so much.  Small details make a huge difference.   I think its the painted grille around the lamps that look weird.  I am ready for a new design though, 5 years is about the time a change is needed.

That was kinda my point.

 

The picture was 'comparing' the relative appearance between 1500 and HD.

Point I was trying to make (and obviously didn't do very well) was that if comparing LD/HD appearance, it might be better to compare similar trim levels ....LTZ to LTZ  etc.

FB post of the first SLE I have seen anywhere.  its a gasser.  I was worried about ordering an SLE without seeing a picture of one anywhere, but I was pleasantly surprised. 

 

Edit: This is not my truck.  This one is in Wisconsin (I'm in Texas).
