I recently changed the filter and shift solenoids in my 1500 Silverado. Now when you put it drive ,3,2, or 1 it wont shift and  It is stuck in first gear. Don't what I did wrong or if something came unhooked when reinstalling the pan. Is there something else I should've replaced?

2007 chevy 5.3 v-8.  towing the camper the other day I had some slippage start happening. fluid was a low and that help but didn't completely stop the slipping. Before that it had started shifting a little weird (not smooth). it didn't fix that either. Seemed like the shifting was a little worse. Everything I have read said to replace them and the filter.

Just a little outside. Might want to try posting here: https://www.gm-trucks.com/forums/forum/166-fullsize-truck-suv-1999-2006-gmt800-2007-2013-gmt900-platforms/

Assuming the transmission fluid is at the right level, I would suggest getting a code reader that can read codes from the TCM (so, not a basic one), as if one or more of the solenoids isn't connected, then a code should be thrown.

Because his truck was born to run, of course.

i thought maybe he added a drop kit so his truck was going down down down down or he might have added a lift kit to get the rising

maybe it's a work truck and he's busy working on the highway

might have been on a road trip down thunder road to darlington county, the badlands or the river

thought it might be a classic truck and he's thinking back to the glory days

i'll stop now  :)
