IF I GET QUARANTINED FOR TWO WEEKS WITH MY WIFE AND I DIE...

I ASSURE YOU IT WAS NOT THE VIRUS THAT KILLED ME

They’ll be lots of births in nine months and divorces.

My wife has Cystic Fibrosis and I can tell you first hand that they are treating this very differently than the flu or pneumonia.  It is much more serious for the elderly and those with specific pre-exiting conditions.  We have constant contact with her nurses and doctors regarding her condition and where the current cases are in relation to us.

Sorry to hear that about your wife. She would be considered one of the high risk individuals. Hope everyone stays safe & at least relatively healthy.

There’s no doubt they are treating this very differently.

A little light hearted humor disclaimer. Do to the new virus. The US election will be postponed for a year. We feel the two remaining democratic presidential candidates are not going to get ample time to state their positions. In all fairness.

So right now, all borders with our neighbouring countries are closed. I wanted to visit relatives living in germany, but I am not allowed to leave the country anymore. All schools/universities are closed. Bars and Restaurants have a 50 person limit, but more and more cantons are shutting down these places completely. All Ski resorts are closed and all public places are closed. Normally, if you`re on sick leave, you need a doctors note after three days. The government has risen the limit to 5 days, to free up capacities in hospitals. Also, most of the companies are strongly enforcing that you stay at home if you`re not feeling well, to avoid shutting down entire parts of the company because of quarantine. They also "mobilized" parts of the military (only medical troops and civilan service). But all in all, no chaos or whatsoever. Everything is just a little more complicated and because there is nothing anymore to do, it`s a little boring. But finally, I`ve got the time to play some videogames, read a book and do some work on my cars.

We have been eating out the last several days, no lines!

I have been stopping by a local store every 10 days waiting for a specific ammo to restock, and went in yesterday and the popular calibur ammo was sparse, and a Scottish guy was saying he came from Academy where he saw a line of 50 people at the gun purchase counter.

My wife said at the hospital she works at (it's a BIG one) the staff had to take all the disinfectants out of patients rooms because the were getting stolen.

If people haven't, listen to the infectious disease expert that broke it down on the Rogan podcast, lot of good info there

They need to stop closing schools, this virus looks to be less dangerous for children than the flu, so why burden the economy so much by closing schools?

I wonder how much of the drama is getting inflated to get manufacturing brought back here.

I never thought of it that way. I was more concerned about the medication being produced there. Maybe this will make China more proactive next time so it wouldn’t be so wide spread. Eventually everyone will probably get it and possibly build immunity like H1-N1. And of course bringing more manufacturers back home or to places along with China wouldn’t be bad either. Being controlled by China or anyone else wouldn’t be a good thing.

Well it's a strategic issue at least. China is building more warships this year than the British Navy operates. Imagine a WWII scenario like what the USA did, convert every factory to build tanks, planes, etc.

To think the U.S and others gave them the money to be able to do that. I wouldn’t mind pay a little more money for products so people can earn a decent wage no matter where products are made. Especially friendly nations or here.

Hoping after it's all said and done more people keep some more food and supplies in their homes, we bring back more manufacturing from china, especially our meds and medical supplies and we really move away from globalization... I'm all for sharing resources within the civilized world but, these shit holes like China need to get cut outta the equation...

Wondering how this will affect gas prices, no one is traveling, or really going anywhere, so the demand for fuel will be low going into spring and maybe summer.

Will the oil companies make up for loses with price increases?

Last week,Putin asked aramco to cut production, they said no and flooded Europe with 25$a barrel,Brent crude, keeping the purchasing with aramco, many us companies can't survive at that price,so some will shut down in future, supply will decrease, prices will prop back up,but, yikes,to what amount

What positions are those?  Socialist, semi-communist Socialist?  I have to admit because I do follow both sides just not your FOLLOWING BLIND TYPE.  I have never seen a worse Party and gaggle of individuals to choose from EVER...I am not joking at all.  I don't know how a honest Person even a Democrat can or would vote for either candidate.

Times have definitely changed,. Now it appears that the left have become Viruses, consuming the healthy. I’ve got neighbors that have moved into my neighborhood from California and absolutely love Sanders promising free stuff. They don’t work and live off if their small inheritance.

Today they asked me why I have to own trucks and SUV’s, I replied with “why do you care!” Interesting enough, the husband drives his mothers old 300E Mercedes and wife drives and old ford that both inherited from their parents. Geez, where would they be if their parents couldn’t afford even those old cars cause if Bernie had his way everyone would be driving a paper kite and he’d get a 4th house added to his portfolio.

Biden, he’s a wack job, dementia all the way along with sociopath.

    • If what you are doing works, keep doing it:   4LO (Four-Wheel Drive Low) should only be used in extreme low-speed, high-torque situations such as deep mud, heavy snow, steep rock crawling, or extreme inclines/declines, and you must follow the correct engagement procedure to avoid drivetrain damage. Intended Use Cases Deep mud or snow where traction is extremely poor and you need maximum torque to get unstuck Trucks Only+1. Rock crawling on steep, uneven terrain forum.fullsizechevy.com+1. Extreme inclines or declines where you need to control speed and maintain traction solutionsphere.blog. Heavy towing in low-traction conditions (e.g., deep sand, ice) carclubsusa.com.
    • Hi,   I work a steep boat landing that has patchy blacktop going down the hill and soft sand/gravel at the bottom. Due to low water levels, it's not always possible reach the blacktop. I've had to help several people get out this year already and with fall coming, I'm anticipating more. I always use 4L. There was a gentleman there today with a 2500 HD (actually 2 - him and his son both have them) and they were trying to get his son's wake boat out. This gentleman swears that you should use 4H in the soft gravel. Says he was a farmer and you always use higher gear when stuck. I was wonder what your thoughts on this are? If I'm wrong, it would be good to find out before things get busy.
    • Looking for feedback from users of roll up aluminum slat bed covers who have had it for more than 3 years. I prefer the aluminum slat style over supported vinyl covers due to security and the capacity to support a light load. The slight loss of bed opening when rolled up is not an issue. Presently have BAK Revolver the "industrial grade vinyl overlay" on mine is shrinking & coming loose at the rear and on both sides in addition to cracking at some of the folding joints. Truck lives outdoors in NC latitude. Can't justify the steep price to replace it with another one if that's the expected lifespan. Do you have a better alternative?
    • Thanks, your last sentence is the root of my problem, outdoors truck and southern latitude = UV overload. Looking at replacing with Rough Country powder coated aluminum slat roll up model.
    • I’m looking at putting a lift in my 2024 gmc sierra 1500 elevation trim, has anyone had any luck with fitting a bigger tire under the rear for a spare?? Was gonna go with a 4 inch zone lift Also what wheel and tire size setup are you all running? Wondering if I can get away with keeping around the stock size a 33 inch, and just get some new wheels to have enough back spacing then I can just keep my original spare tire I have under the truck now.
