Grumpy Bear Posted April 6, 2020 Posted April 6, 2020 C'mon Man. Gas is near a buck a gallon now. Weather is close to 70F and Pepper is peaking the MPG's. About a nickel a mile. And I have to stay home. Figures. Right?
Black02Silverado Posted April 6, 2020 Posted April 6, 2020 Gas is down to $1.54 here. Sure is nice but since we have been home the past 3 weeks there isn't a need to fill up. Saving money either way.
Bob2C Posted April 7, 2020 Posted April 7, 2020 Yup, no elective surgeries out here. They have multiple areas reserved for the bug, and so far one case in the ICU. It's good to be prepared, but we're going to screw a LOT more people with shutting everything down. Totally agree. The economy is screwed no matter how you look at it. Job losses are staggering. I do not believe people will venture out when things begin to reopen. Hiring back employees will be slow to say the least. The stock market is in lala land. Wait until we get through April and the numbers come out. It will be just devastating. There is no economic activity. NONE. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Although Congress approved money for employees, it won't be enough to stimulate the economy.

2018GMC Posted April 8, 2020 Posted April 8, 2020 Still $2.25 - $2.49 for 87 in the southwest. https://www.gasbuddy.com/GasPriceMap?lat=38.822395&lng=-96.591588&z=5
99silveradoz71 Posted April 9, 2020 Posted April 9, 2020 $1.15 earlier. It's like being a teen again.
KARNUT Posted April 9, 2020 Posted April 9, 2020 Everyone needs to step up to the plate and buy gas guzzlers. It’s our patriotic duty. If you have a job that is.Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Grumpy Bear Posted April 9, 2020 Posted April 9, 2020 Still $1.18 at Costco and hasn't moved from the number no matter what the markets are doing. Unsurprisingly all other stations are $1.47 to $2.00 and jumping on the news. I use Costco as a Greed barometer.
Bob2C Posted April 9, 2020 Posted April 9, 2020 The problem begins when people start driving again. Refineries are going to be shutting down here soon I read. Just have no room to store gas. So I believe there will be a supply issue initially sending prices higher like around $4 a gallon or more until refineries can get back online. Enjoy it now. Oh wait. Can’t nothing is open.
