Ezekiel2517 Posted May 5, 2020 Posted May 5, 2020 My truck keeps asking me to "Please Confirm Password to Continue using connected services". What does this mean? What password do they want? Is it for my phone? Is it for my Onstar internet account? No password that I know works here. It usually seems to happen when I have my phone connected via USB-C. I have a 2019 LTZ with Nav, if that makes any difference. Lately my phone has been more screwey than ever. The bluetooth does not reliabley connect. Still have no contacts or favorites via bluetooth. Thanks for your help.
Lee Roy Posted May 9, 2020 Posted May 9, 2020 (edited) Mine just started this crap also. No nav but has Apple Car Play Using iPhone working OK 2019 RST Edited May 9, 2020 by Lee Roy More info
Snail77 Posted May 10, 2020 Posted May 10, 2020 Mine was doing that couple of weeks ago. Kept putting in my chevy app password. Kept telling me wrong password. After about 3 days of this it finally took the password and hasn't been back since.

Codeman00 Posted May 14, 2020 Posted May 14, 2020 Well, I'm not the only one that this was happening to. The first thing I thought was....which password does it want? I reset my passwords on the computer and was able to enter the password to get the message to go away. Hopefully it stays away. I'm not sure what caused this all of a sudden.
Leo D Posted January 31, 2021 Posted January 31, 2021 Mine started this on a 2020 GMC Sierra. Noticed a "message" present from OnStar. I finally signed into OnStar from my home computer and updated my login password. That fixed the message in my vehicle. My guess is OnStar did a software update on "their" systems and that affected people's vehicle passwords.
Kent Hagler Posted February 3, 2021 Posted February 3, 2021 I havent seen this yet on my 2020 gmc however my wifes 2019 ct6 did that a year ago. Very random too.
andrewb24 Posted February 3, 2021 Posted February 3, 2021 mine did it awhile back and it went away now its come back so I am going to try the onstar or mychevy password reset on a desktop.
Dunn Posted February 3, 2021 Posted February 3, 2021 mine just started this crap, have no idea what my password is, lol
LBcERA19 Posted August 31, 2022 Posted August 31, 2022 My Truck 2019 Sierra started this same thing at the end of 2021. So Jan. 2022 I took it to the dealership and they said my entire Radio control unit needed to be replaced. After they replaced it and loaded/updated the software it seemed to fix it until recent had bad CPU code for the trailering system and they "updated" the software again and now the famn Password msg is back every 10 minutes! GMC STEALRRSHIPS SUCK BALLS!

redwngr Posted September 2, 2022 Posted September 2, 2022 Mine seems to required the password to be re-entered after it does an update. My phone does this as well. I suspect this is so a re-flash can't be used as a way to reset either one. I agree, it can be a nuisance.

TopCat412 Posted February 26, 2023 Posted February 26, 2023 My 2019 LTZ started this past spring, it would ask for password, disconnect phone, and Carplay would turn off and on by itself, the radio screen would go blank and turn back on as if I had shut it off and turned on, while driving. Contacted dealer when it first happened and they said it’s due to not using genuine Apple cords. Started using Apple usb and c cords and still did it. Took it in on President’s Day for service and requested they look at radio as well to see what password it needed and tech said he plugged his phone in and there was no problem. Not happy, I have an extended warranty, put local dealer says they won’t honor it, I have to go to the dealer I purchased from which is 40 minutes away. I’ll try the Chevy app password and hopefully it helps. Thanks for the information.
