I ordered them two days ago from summit and got an email today saying they’re out for delivery. Woohoo

Dang that's fast, reply back with how you like them. I'm thinking about it too.

I got them today. Super fast delivery. Problem is I may not be able to get under my truck and do them myself. My pride says do it. My back says don’t be stupid. I may have to pay to put them on. I will let you know how it goes. I know I’m being lazy but does anyone know the torque specs?

I couldn’t find the T1 spec so just used the K2 spec. 85 ft-lbs, and a bit of blue Loctite. Been just fine since April.

Thanks bud. I had stumbled upon 85lbs as well. I know on my old truck the top and bottom bolts had different specs. I’m sure I’m just over thinking it. Should I have my 15 yr old attempt to do it? Should be fun. The kid is probably smarter than myself book wise. But he’s lacking in hands on and common sense 10 fold. Hahahahaha

Man, it's 4 bolts.  It is a 20 minute job tops....even for a 15-year old.  ?

Perfect job for the kid. Not gonna lie my neck was a little sore after the job. It’s easy but not the most comfortable task. I went to 85 top and bottom FWIW.

Easy for you to say on your high horse with all your good health in such. J/k I had my spine fused 8 weeks ago from an injury at work. I have a ton of pride. And even four bolts would be difficult for my son. Lol scary

Does this shock look like it’s “weeping” or leaking to y’all?

I’m crossing my fingers that it’s shot. The driver’s side shock isn’t wet or dirty at all. This would help explain how my rear end feels even looser than normal, which was already no bueno. 10B57B62-6747-4E21-80D7-6F1E31060E20.thumb.jpeg.6ee35771edef7a21f06c3627168c585d.jpeg

I had this same issue on the rear passenger side. I had the dealer look at it and they order another shock. They put it on and I drove home from the dealership and looked up under the truck to see the new shock or see if they replaced both. I noticed the new passenger side shock looked a little dirty. Then I noticed the front seal on the rear end is leaking which is slinging oil on the shock. This was most likely the issue the whole time. I thought the shock was leaking but it was the rear end seal that is leaking.

Hey, thanks so much for letting me know about this! I'll make sure to have the dealer check the seals, not just the Crap-o shock. ?

Follow up... the shock was bad. Had it replaced. Big difference in ride quality (no shocker there).

I think this thing was broke for quite a while. Glad to have it fixed.

You just described my wife, lol.

Don't worry. I say it to her face too. I call her the dumbest smart person I know. Masters degree from an Ivy League school, graduated with honors, but zero street smarts.

Staying on topic: OP, thanks for posting up about your. I'll keep an eye out. If this happens to me I'm going to upgrade to 5100s.
