Hi I have a 2003 Silverado 1500 and lately when I’ve been driving on the highway at a consistent speed sometimes I will hear a humming noise that sounds like it’s coming from under the middle or rear of the truck. The noise isn’t constant in just will happen randomly when I’m driving down the highway and last for about 6 seconds and then goes away and then will happen randomly again. I’m wondering in anyone knows what this could be Thankyou.

I would suspect Ujoints. I've also had separated tires cause a hum only at certain speeds off and on.

There is a few things you can check. 1) the rear axle fluid.  2) rear drive shaft U- joints 3) brackets that hold the exhaust. 4) Wheel play in front and back tires.
