I’m pretty good at making my tires look good (wet black).  But does anyone do anything with the trim?  I was looking at the fender trim and the mud flaps and thinking that should look “wet/black” too but I’m not sure what a good product would be to use and if there is anything I should be careful of.

Blak or Gloz. Back to black doesn't last like these. Gloz is glossier than Blak. This stuff is the best and lasts really long and like a ceramic. It's from Renew Protect. Check out the vids.

I use Mothers Back To Black and have been for several years. Works great on all plastic trim. There's simular products out there but found this works the best and dosn't wash off as quickly.  Maquires has a simular product that would be my second choice, just costs more. You should be able to buy it at most local stores, maybe even Walmart.

Back-to-Black® Trim & Car Plastic Restorer | Mothers® Polish

I have even used it on my Line-X bedliner.  Takes some time to get it on evenly but can make your bed liner look brand new if your willing to spend the time to do it.

I use both those products. Whatever cheaper at Walmart on my Avalanche. They last about 3-4 months with an average once a week washes. Makes the massive amount of plastic look new. That’s in Texas with no garage time.

Looks nice Grumpy. I wish I could get the two cowl end pieces to look and stay like that. Its the only trim I have issues with. They always have white spots.

Follow up question.  Are any of these products problematic if they get on the paint.  The main thing I want to do is my wheel well trim and of course, that butts right up to a pretty long line of paint.

"3M 303  Aerospace Protectant" works well also

I haven’t had that problem and I use more than most on an avalanche. It should say on the products label.

You could always tap the wheels well off. Then you would not have to worry about it. Takes about 2-3 mins per wheel well. I did it with my 2018 GMC Sierra.

Do not get Cerakote on the paint. Masking is a really good idea.
