Sorry for bringing old post back to life. I am having very similar issues. Started with remote start then alarm went off and remote turned off. Then next day remote started then it turned off a few minutes later. I am assuming it’s the same hood issue. However, I opened my hood and it showed open hood on the dashboard. It could be it worked that time. I tried the remote start after I closed the hood and it worked. But I think that is something odd here. Wondering if I should change the hood latch to figure it out.

no other error on the dashboard, all doors and windows were fully locked.

thanks!!

Yes,  that is symptomatic of a defective hood latch… it took me 3 months to resolve with multiple visits to the Chevrolet dealer.

Finally resolved when I was able to walk back into the service area and talk with the most experienced service tech who was working on it.    He was finally able to recreate it by repeatedly opening and closing the hood latch

in my case, not only did remote start not work, was getting false MIL on dash to service ESC, FWD and others.  None showed the hood latch was open

Turned out the micro switch in the hood latch was flaky, but not fully broken.   It apparently was not showing the 2k resistance which told the anti theft someone was trying to open the hood when the doors were locked.    If all the codes were reset, it might work for a bit and then crap out again.

Have not had a problem since the hood latch was replaced.   I took the old latch to experiment with when I have time and nothing better to do.

The service manager finally admitted they had replaced a handful of hood latches before mine…

both key fobs stopped working today. first was remote start would not work, then each button on #1 fob (only fob used since new) would not communicate with truck. inside truck no push start. was told to but fob in transmitter location.. truck started. replaced battery in #1 fob and tried #2 fob  same as #1.  How could both fobs fail to transmit to the truck? Also lane departure / lane keep has been intermittent for a while (6-9 months) it worked today, but on a 12 mile drive it dropped off / then on 81-10 times...

what wrong with the truck with not receiving the transmitted signal from the fob, except in the trans pocket?

The module that receives the fob signal must be pooched.

The fob-in-pocket works by RFID, (different technology) which only works in close proximity.

Maybe the issue with the module that receives the fob remote signal is also causing issue with the sensing used by lane keep / lane departure.
