I have always been in the habit of backing into parking spaces, unless it's laid out as angled spaces. I get peeved at the way people park nowadays, without even making an effort to get centered between the lines or they pull through halfway into the space in front of them, I thought if there was simple one touch to activate the front camera it would be very convenient so as not to go over the line or leave you backend hanging out to get tagged.

When you're in or entering the parking space, shift to reverse then back into drive and it'll switch to the front camera.

Thanks of the tip. That is what I've been doing when necessary.

Push home and then camera on the touch screen goes right to the front camera.

And if the camera icon is not on your first page you an move it there.

easier than shifting to reverse and forward

you can also do like I did in my RST and drag the camera app so it's on the main navigation menu to the very left at all times. I have mine setup so the music, android auto, settings, camera and something else I can't think of are listed along with the home button. I wish I could get rid of the home button on the screen since there is a physical button for it but you can't get rid of that one. I use the camera app when driving down the road to look behind me at the a-holes who are riding my bumper lol.

Mine used to do that, but it no longer does for some odd reason. It just stays on the reverse camera all the time. You wouldn't know how to fix that would you?

I'm not all that familiar with it but you can go into the camera app and select the different camera views.

I guess I'm not sure. You might have to play around with the camera views from the menu first to see if theres a different default view. I've not check mine out extensively, so its just a guess.

You can tap across the bottom of the screen for different cameras and their views. If you can't get the front camera to show up (and it used to), then that camera isn't working correctly.

Camera still works as I can manually select it. When I got the truck new, after putting it in drive it would automatically switch from the rear to the front, it just doesn't do it automatically anymore. I just have to hit the button and it will pop up.

Ok... Not a camera function issue (seemingly). Do you have the Park Assist feature disabled?

"Settings > Vehicle > Comfort and Convenience. If Park Assist is turned off through vehicle personalization, the Park Assist button will be disabled. To turn Park Assist on again, select On in vehicle personalization.

its in the camera views, you hit a button on the views to disable it.....at least i did it once and finally figured out how to get it back.....some of the views you can toggle a few different ways....like showing reverse and birds eye at same time or just the front/reverse view itself....

I moved my camera icon to the far left on the home screen.  However if I hit that camera icon while driving, it shows the view from behind instead of in front.  I can't change the view manually to front while driving.

Are you in a 1/2 ton? Could it be different options for different models?
