Mine is 7 years, 4 months old, and it still works.  This includes going 2 weeks in an airport parking lot recently, where it was at or below freezing the whole time.

How long is everyone else getting before these are finally dying?  My wife made it 12 years on the original battery in her Audi S4...but that one is bigger than what our trucks get, and Audi does a lot of battery management that GM doesn't.  Just curious how long I'll be able to stretch it.

My first died around a year later at 10k mi.  Second died around 40k mi and 6 more years.

My first died at about 80K, replaced with a cheap one.
Lasted about a year.
I, then, replaced with an AGM battery and it's been doing well for over a year - even when I forget to turn off the dash cam and the radar detector (those killed the first two batteries even though they're supposed to shut off on low battery voltage *shrug*)

Bought my 2018 brand new 7.5 years ago, almost 91,000 miles now, on my 3rd battery now that went in roughly 4 months ago.

Matches with my experience.
I went to a Mechman 250 Amp alternator but I couldn't save the last battery I had - I only drive about 20 miles a week unless I take a drive to see family.
So far, the new AGM is working great!
Long ago video about the alternator (I've since moved the under hood light to a switch on the control panel since the under hood switch rusted out terribly)

I don't keep batteries longer than 5 years. My choice.
