  1. Full exterior detail.. clay bar, ceramic, wax/sealant plus fixed what chips I could on the front bumper. 6 hours later and I’m totally exhausted lol.. the most time consuming part was cleaning/waxing/sealing the wheels. All of those nooks and crannies on these honeycombs really takes a bit of time.

  9. OK, you got me. I know they're used on/in areas other than farming and hunting. I just thought I had you figured out to one of those two things. Oh well, turns out you're considerably older than I had you pegged for too. I don't know exactly how old or young I had you figured for, but surely not old enough to have gone in the Army 50 yrs ago. I think I remember seeing somewhere you wrote that. Assuming you were 18-20 when you enlisted, that would make you probably 4-6 yrs younger than me. I joined at 17 in early 1965. Got out in '69 and married the same year. Have just celebrated our 50th anniversary. In case you're wondering how I made it to 50th .... I learned early on there has to be two sides to every argument ............... her's and her mother's! LOL! Naw seriously, it's not been a real bad road, a few ups and downs. But we made it. Anyhow, back to the Gator and hunting. It makes perfect sense why you would have one and how you would use it, being out in the country and all. Until a few years ago we still lived in the country and could do a lot of things that simply are not acceptable where we are now. He11, I could set up a 100 yd range in my back yard and shoot till dark if I wanted. Most of my neighbors would come over and join in sometimes. Now, if I want to shoot I have to load everything all up in my truck and drive about 8-10 miles to the nearest range. It's all OK I guess, just not nearly as convenient. I'm gonna have to cut it short tonight. I'm pretty tired .... he11 I was up at the crack of noon today. I'm worn out. It's been fun but I gotta tell you I haven't changed my mind even one little bit about ethanol. I'll still give it's pretty good with a Jack Daniel's label, but just don't want it in my truck. Pretty sure TXGREEK hasn't been swayed either. He seems about as convinced as I am. Oh well, we can pick it up again on the other side. And one last thing about making it to that magic 50th year. I remembered way back when young and first married, everybody always said the same ol' thing .... "Love is Grand!" Then I figured divorce would be probably 100 grand, so I just did the math! LOL! Regards, and look forward to another good discussion, jumpinjoe

  15. TWINS!! I got everything I needed for the "tow package" from Amazon and all told, it costs $376.71. Everything was plug and play and took about an hour to install (including the hitch). Here's what you need: HITCH: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07Q4R4NM2/ref=ox_sc_saved_title_4?smid=ATVPDKIKX0DER&psc=1 BRAKE CONTROLLER (Can get a less expensive model, but this is the best rated): https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000P17NXQ/ref=ox_sc_saved_title_2?smid=ATVPDKIKX0DER&psc=1 WIRING PLUG: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B001NYYREC/ref=ox_sc_saved_title_5?smid=ATVPDKIKX0DER&psc=1 BRAKE CONTROLLER HARNESS: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07LDBYB1G/ref=ox_sc_saved_title_3?smid=ATVPDKIKX0DER&psc=1 I also got the Tyger tri-fold soft Tonneau and absolutely love it. Was only $220 https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07VKF332M/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o02_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

    1 point
  18. It’s only in reverse. You can’t use it while driving forward. And it’s because it’s drawing the reverse light power to drive the cargo lights.

  21. That good to hear that yours went away after a few miles. Mine was built on 6/19, so it should have the updated fluid. I’m also careful and won’t put it in reverse until the rpms come down all the way after start up, but it still does it. I crawled under and the drive shaft seems tight. Mine only has 500 mi, and I haven’t used 4x4 yet, so I’m gonna go put it in 4x4 and run it forward and reverse a couple times to see if maybe that will do anything. It might be something in the transfer case, who knows. Maybe it will free up.

  22. Not today, per se, but this weekend: -Added class 3 Curt hitch, Hopkins drop-in trailer plug, and Tekonsha P3 brake controller w/GM harness. (All were plug and play) -Added factory GM fog lights. Just need to finish wiring and get the BCM programmed. -Swapped the crappy Bridgestone Alenza A/S 02’s for Cooper Discoverer ATP’s (So much better) -Added CAMPARK 4K dash cam with hardwire kit. Ordered Motofab 2” front and 3” rear leveling kit. Should be here next week.

  23. Guys be skeptical... Look for DATA** Speak with Tuners and Folks that have been around these items for decent length of time. Don't ever just accept anecdotal comments or **feelings**. They're not factual and don't provide any evidence to support you spending your hard earned money! As far as my experience with JET; I've purchased the TB and then the MAF sensor. I did not notice a single difference using one, the other or both at the same time (purchased independently of one another). When Speaking with tuners, (DiabLEW, and local tuners) they all recommended going back to OEM as JET causes issues while tuning. Especially the MAF sensor. Just my $.02 save your money. If you're out for Performance just buy a Supercharger kit, Whipple, PROcharger or Eddlebrock. They're all relatively the same price and go on sale during Black Friday (Big time). It will provide a totally different driving experience and jack your HP up significantly without having to upgrade any additional internals/externals. If you're out for a cool sounding vehicle, just grab yourself an exhaust.

  25. Great job thinking out of the box and finding a solution to a known problem my only problem is this mod pretty much makes trading in your truck impossible. Unless you plan on keeping your truck or doing a private sale In the future where you’ll know someone plans to leave it tuned, not sure this mod is a good idea.

  26. Guys, I read the page description and seems like not even Custom HP Tunes can compete with this single $250 dollar sensor. The scary part is all the "people" in the comments who say it works The JET Powr-Flo Mass Air Sensor delivers improved horsepower, torque and mileage from your car, truck or SUV by simply replacing the restrictive stock mass air sensor. The factory sensor not only is a major restrictive point in stock intake systems, but it also limits the full potential of aftermarket cold air intake systems. The flow bench tested design of the JET Mass Air Sensor provides airflow increases of up to 45% and installs in 10 minutes or less. Compatible with other aftermarket upgrades such as computer upgrades, cold air intakes, TBI spacers, free flow exhaust systems, etc https://jetchip.com/shop/performance-engine-upgrades/mass-air-flow-sensor/powr-flo-mass-air-sensor-36/ In all seriousness now, OP, for more throttle response, add a wooden stick behind the throttle pedal assembly, that will give a noticeable change

  29. I like gasoline or diesel engines. Today's engines are not only durable, but also very dependable. If you use a truck for things that trucks are designed for, you will at some point either be waiting for many hours somewhere unplanned, sitting on the side of the road stranded, or forced to realize that your electric truck is unable to perform as needed. I see no need for electric trucks and I would be seriously surprised if they truly are greener, stem to stern with MFG costs, charging station infrastructure, and the fact that most of the electricity is co.inf from somewhere. Solar electricity isn't very sustainable in my opinion, at least in the Southeast, as they put up the solar farms in actual arable land/farms. The panels are taking food production away and polluting the land with heavy metals, concrete, and cables. Everything has a cost. Sent via Morse code

  37. you should think about returning the mirror you got and going with one that has a camera AND auto-dimming.. since you already have the harness. I can confirm that the harness you have is the same as the one on my 2018 LT (to make my auto-dim mirror work, I had to add switched power to pin 6 and your harness looks to already have it.. ) my LT Z71 came with a manual flip rear view mirror (and OnStar).

  40. Please note the closure notice on the site. You can place your order online and we will build/ship all products in the order they were placed when we resume normal operations. You need one of each. You’ll need to remove the seat position sensor from your factory passenger seat over to the new passenger seat. https://harnessdr.com/product/2014-2019-silverado-sierra-seat-memory-bypass-harness/ https://harnessdr.com/product/2014-2019-silverado-sierra-seat-position-sensor-harness/ Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  41. Mods I have made since I purchased my truck are: 1. 6" steps (OEM) 2. All-weather Chevy floor-mats (front and back) 3. Line-X spray-in bedliner 4. Replaced antenna with a Metra 7" shorty antenna (purchased at Advance Auto Parts) 5. Removed the dealership badge from the tailgate I really like all of the updates/mods. I don't have a favorite mod at this point. For all considering replacing the long antenna, the Metra antenna I purchased at Advance Auto Parts receives all of the channels so far with no noticeable difference. I haven't travelled far out of my area yet, so my opinion may change. I had to return the first antenna I purchased because the base was too large to screw onto the receiving antenna screw (so be careful with the size of the base on these). Mods to do: 1. Towing package 2. Tonneau cover (leaning toward the rollup Gator cover mainly because of the price) 3. Possibly the CHEVROLET inserts/stickers on the tailgate. I washed it yesterday for the first time, and cleaned out the interior. Will get it waxed before winter gets here.

  43. Yes I'm using the 1N4004. I corrected the fogs/highs but no dice replaced the diode too. Got the cargo/reverse working for just a min buttt then they went out again. I feel like the wire isn't getting a good connection in the pin, pushed as far as they'd go just doesn't feel "secure." Going to try them again tomorrow. Thanks again.

  44. In my neck of the woods, we don't have 91 everywhere, but we do have 93. The 93 is on average $0.30/gal more than 87. That's roughly $7 more per fill from almost empty. If I fill once per week that's an extra $364/year, or $30.33/month. If you can afford an extra $30/mo, then it's worth it to fill with premium exclusively and enjoy the benefits thereof. JM2C.

  46. FREE. I found a use for the crappy front shocks I removed for new 5100s. Didn't have a helper to bleed some brake fluid so an old front shock compressed between pedal & piece of plywood against the seat worked to push the pedal down for me. Sent using Tapatalk - 2014 5.3 WT

  49. It's cheaper to build your own but my harness is soldered on every connection with 600v rated contractor grade braided wire and braided anti friction shielding. If you damage it or have an oops I'll repair it. I warranty for 30 days but as long as I have materials to help you, I'll repair in good will. I treat every item like it's going in my truck and I don't delay shipping. I have materials in stock and pre order when I get low. I sell quite a few of these and will discount for anyone ordering 10 or more. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  50. If you build yourself make sure you solder the wires to pins. I have some extra parts because I ordered in bulk. I'm selling already built and pinned with braided shielding for $45 plus shipping. I figure it's the same price as a dealer but with better wire, shielding and already pinned and color coded for ease. Also I ship the next day after payment. If you want to build yourself I'll ship all parts for $25 plus shipping and ship next day. If you buy my harness I'll provide support for any wiring you need. I also have an option to build on a relay so you have inadvertent discharge battery voltage. I build a Bosch relay and diode into harness so it supply you with battery power that the bcm turns off 20 min after the last door trigger with the key off or to prevent battery discharge. It protects you from forgetting something on and killing your battery. If I can help anyone, let me know. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
