That isn't the payload sticker - that is the tire pressure sticker. The serial number of the truck is on the sticker. The pressures listed are for the tires that were installed on the truck. There will be a second sticker on the door post. It is also printed specific to the vehicle/serial number. Down near the bottom. Easy to miss. (other posts have pictures of the payload sticker) Similar to the tires pressure sticker, they know what options are installed by serial number and establish payload from those numbers. Any accessory added at dealer or by owner, that wasn't on the factory order, is considered 'payload'.2 points

Why aren't you guys taking it in for warranty? Let them work on it before you start screwing around with it and then screw it up so bad that the dealer won't warranty it.2 points

Finally got things installed, set up and working despite the valve stems being too small for my G-rated trailer wheels/tires. America's Tires used the Ford style "bands" to clamp the sensors to the inside of the rims. Had to cut off the end of the stem to get them to fit within the rim section. Works great.1 point

Door panels are on the list for me this spring. Plan is to pull off the white sound deadening pad, dynamat most of back of the door panel, put the white pad back on and see what that does. Also bought a roll of felt tape to *maybe* put on some of the mating surfaces of the door panel and trim. Still uncertain where that will come into play having not had it apart yet. The rattle on mine seems contained to the armrest, and the area of fake leather above it. It really drives me nuts on certain songs and it’s a shame because the stereo otherwise sounds pretty good to me. My thoughts on doing the panel instead of the door is to hopefully block some of the resonance and “stabilize“ the panel. Looking at the backside, there seems to be room for improvement on the factory deadening. The rest of the truck...to me...seems past the point of diminishing returns on dynamat-ing.1 point

Even if there is any power draw, I'm pretty sure it would be minimal. I mean it would just be keeping power supplied to the pad. If nothing is on the pad drawing power, then I don't see how there would be any significant power draw. I mean if you keep a car charger or radar detector plugged into the 12v 24/7 do you really think it's drawing enough power to affect anything? The original guy in this thread did the same thing in September, he hasn't complained. I guess time will tell, but I'm not worried.1 point

I added some LED side marker lights to the factory step support brackets. Sorry for the crappy pics, I kind of ran out of daylight, lol. ]1 point

The need to shut off your truck is an indicator of a situation that will only get worse. In your case if you've never replaced the throttle body then it's probably due. In the case of a new throttle body and it's still doing it could be several things, throttle body aside. Key thing, don't start throwing parts at it and the codes you get may not necessarily point to the right thing! Other areas of issue are the accelerator pedal assembly. In my case I found that in 2003 Chevy must have made some mid year change on the gauge of wires leading from the pedal assembly through the firewall. I determined that my original pedal assembly was junk and had a short in the plug at the pedal, wiggling it around with the truck running would produce the reduced power message, and even after replacing the switch in it 2x, still no luck. I pulled a complete accelerator pedal assembly WITH the harness (important) out of a junk 2003 at the local wrecking yard, takes a whole 5 minutes to extract it. Do not disconnect the harness, leave it intact if you can as this seems the more you disconnect and reconnect things it only disturb things further! The plugs are very sensitive. I found that the accelerator pedal assembly I pulled from the junkyard had a heavier gauge of wire than my original and looked to be a bit better made overall, so somewhere along the line GM figured something needed to be looked at. I installed the pedal with harness that goes through the firewall and connects to the TAC (throttle actuator control) and this worked well until my cheap China made TB gave up the ghost again. One of the codes you may get points to the TAC as being faulty. This is the black box mounted on the firewall that the accelerator pedal harness plugs in to. I will guarantee you if you get a code that the TAC is bad, it is not. Don't waste your money buying a new one, it isn't the problem. I found out the hard way on this one. So, other than what else I list below, the 2 main things to look at replacing is the TB itself, and possibly a good used accelerator pedal assembly with harness from the junkyard. Other areas to look at: The ground wires on the frame under the drivers side door, things here in MN cause it to get pretty crusty there. The ground wire on the back of the drivers side cylinder head (royal pain in the rear to get at). The plug that connects to the TB, make sure it is clean and dry and that none of the contacts in the plug have issues. If it looks like the plug is questionable and some of the pins are not making good contact, they sell a pigtail harness at the auto parts stores. As for the new TB, is it a good quality one? I found the made in China specials lasted anywhere from a max of 3 months to as little as 2 weeks. They're all JUNK, don't buy a made in China TB. Marc1 point

Most dealers are not going to play ball very well here in Colorado is what my experience has been. Give Purifory Chevrolet a try but if they can't, I wouldn't expect anyone else to out west. there are plenty of others who are willing to pay the prices they want.1 point

Think about it. How can payload capacity that is specific to each truck include arbitrary weights? And people will not necessarily be towing, so why include a 70 lb hitch? This is the payload sticker from my truck. Read the definition of what counts as payload. You're confusing max tow rating with payload capacity. They're two different things.1 point

Just got back from a New Orleans -> Houston drive and tried to do a little MPG calculating/estimating. From DIC for as long as I could sustain. Please note this is not scientific, just gives a rough idea in real world driving. Cruise Control set to: 60mph - 32/33mpg 65mph - 29/30mpg 70mph - 25/26mpg 75mph - 22/23mpg 80mph - 20mpg Crew cab 3.0L 4wd Z71 275/60R20 stock Dueler ATs Temp: low 70’s, not very windy, “low” humidity considering the territory ? I plan on trying to fine tune this as accurate as possible to compare once I get leveled and bigger tires : )1 point

hay everyone , just joined...…………..I traded a 17 canyon diesel an a 14 cruze diesel for a new gmc sierra 3.0 diesel. so far big improvement over the canyon. I used the canyon for towing my hellcat to the dragstrip an also 24 ft RV. I used the cruze to commute to work but since I just retired I don`t need it any more. I`m sure the sierra will do a better job towing, canyon was ok but felt I needed a bit more. retired from auto repair , mechanic for over 40 years. hopefully I can add to this forum over time.1 point

had to pull the two brackets and the reservoir had to be unbolted and moved just to get the old battery out, plus the wires there is a quick connect one on the passenger side of the battery and one bolted on, once those are off you can push all the wires on the otherside out of the way. The new battery is the same size it just has more cca and is agm1 point

I have this same problem. Service advisor at dealer told me he had seen only two leaking windows in 2019 Silverados. I told him there was a service bulletin and he said I was wrong there was not. Educated him and now going in next week for service.1 point

All their acceleration tests are done at over a mile above sea level. The naturally aspirated engines are down 20+% power vs the turbocharged engines. That's why I never understood why they bother doing 0-60 tests because they're so far removed from what the majority of us would see.1 point

I own a 2019 GMC Sierra 1500 Denali. Took it to the dealer to install update for safety recall. Software was updated. Picked up the vehicle and noticed the LKA was not working after update. Per GM technical, Dealer replace LKA camera, updated software, took vehicle out on the road for calibration and LKA is still not working. Frustrated that dealer cannot fix. Waiting on GM technical help to address, Any suggestions on how to proceed?1 point

to think we used to do this just so we could hear the tires humm on the road and liked the tougher tire to guard against flats 75 miles from nowhere....we threw on BFG's, MT, or DC and ran them...1 point

Just got my truck leveled. I have the Eibach Pro Truck lift kit. New shocks all around with there new coils in the front as well. I have it set on the bottom notch on the front shock and that gives a 2.5" level. To go with it I have a set of Kryptonite UCAs as well. Rides great so far. Everything is already grimey with road salt in the new pics since we just got some snow/ice yesterday. Now I have to get some wheels and tires to finish it off. Anyone do this mod yet? I HATE the look of the rake and since we already are raised 2 inches in the front, it's not really the best idea to add another 1.5"1 point

I bought my 2019 Silverado LTZ Z71 a couple of weeks ago. I am just into the third week.... and I have started a diary of the issues.... LOVE the truck but there are a few bugs to get sorted out. Sirius XM cuts out. Infotainment system and DIC go black while driving and reboot.... etc etc.... Today the Lane Keep Assist dropped off, and yes when I tried the button on the console I was advised it is unavailable.... I cleaned all of the front and rear sensors, tossing quarters at the can for a solution, and the system seemed to have become operable... until I tested it pushing over a painted lane line. No warning came.... tested it a few more times, and nothing.... So I am really glad I found this forum and posting..... I have already been in conversation with the dealer about a recall that came out in November that hadn't been addressed before the sale.... and will be sharing my diary of events with them before the appointment. I was hoping it was a matter of reflashing the software; but I'm glad there are known solutions. Thanks all for sharing.1 point

Check your MAF to make sure there is no oil from CAI or to see if it looks dirty. They will affect your transmission if not working properly.1 point

They all sound like that I don't know if mine has gone away or I just don't hear it anymore but it was very noticeable when I first got the truck1 point
