That's what I love about these things...They drop down low enough, and stick out far enough, to actually be of use.

 

The factory nerf bars are just about damn useless.

Just an fyi, i have them on my '10 sierra... Body cables had to be removed which creates alittle racket when hittng something hard with rear end(flyin over speed bump)

 

Went to dealer to try and get them moved but he told me the steps we just exactly in the way lol... Not huge deal!

I have a set on my 2009 GMC Sierra CC. I've had them on there for about 3 years now and NO problems what so ever ( knock on wood). The steps are very sturdy with no flexing at all, rated for 600lbs. When retracted they blend in with the trucks frame and are not noticeable.

I was shopping around for a set of amp research steps when I first bought my truck, but was put off cause of the price tag ($1200 installed).

 

A few months later I came across a GREAT deal while shopping for a shop to installed a leveling kit. Turns out some guy at the shop was having all his aftermarket mods removed from his truck cause it wad gonna be repoed. I asked him if he was interested in selling his amp research steps and he said to give him $300 and cover the cost to have them removed.

In all, I paid $475 for the steps including install.
