well i got my 921 LED lights in the mail yesterday and couldn't wait to install them. Went out today, and found out my 09 silverado has the 3047 tails...damn

Gonna see if I can exchange the 921s for the 3047s, unless someone wants to buy my 921s :)

I made the same mistake! Tried to sell them to two different guys that had '09 trucks....but they all had the 3047's. Finally sold them to a friend with a 2010, and they work great! Fixin to order a set of the 3157's soon.

Or you could pop them into your cargo lights to match!

+1 I did mine and they do make a huge difference

Cargo lights? where's that at? On top of the cab?

Sweet guess I'll just do that and order the 3157s. To remove the 3rd brake light it is just two screws, correct?

Yep very simple

I guess people didn't listen to me when I said to check to see what bulbs you had before ordering.

You can just look through the lens and see what you have, the 921 bulbs are just a little larger then what goes in side marker or dash lights (194) Plus the 3156/3047 style has the larger black base.

Have you guys had any problems out of them? I got HIDS in lows and fogs in 6K.

Also, got my cargo lights installed too & they do make a BIG difference!

So you order 2 sets?

Same size that fit your tail-lights, go ahead and get 'em for your 3rd brake lights/reverse lights??

Depends on the year. Mine no. I have the 3157 tails. I didn't order the cargo lamps or 3rd yet because I wanted to see these first

Well I've got a 2007 Avalanche so instead of just guessing I went out to the vehicle at lunch to see what bulbs I had. Looking through the lens (no tools here) it looks like a 921 bulb, however the application guide shows that I have a 7440 bulb instead. I guess I'm going to have to wait until I get home this evening so I can take it off and see for sure what is in there.

Has anyone else installed these reverse lights in an Avalanche, Tahoe or Suburban that might have the 7440 bulbs? Is so, opinions? I currently have the White Night lights hooked up to my trailering hitch receiver but I'm looking for something that provides better light and doesn't impede hooking up my waverunner trailer like the White Night lights do. Plus now that I have done a few things to the truck the White Night lights stick out too much for my liking.
