I was looking back at this thread and i didn't see where i had been on for a while since i bolted my headers ans supercharger on. Back in September i did get a chance to go to the track and lay down a pass. I got a 12.9 @ 106 with a 1.82 60ft . That was all wanted to know for right then. i knew i couldn't do anymore because the injectors were maxed. My ID 850's are in my hands so now i can get back to where i left off. I got Justin from Black Bear making me a tune for my new injectors and a smaller pulley to go on the supercharger. I think i'll add some meth injection after that. Then back to the track in the spring when it opens.

hey guys, there's a seller on ebay called sickspeed performance that sells all sorts chrome badges, they have the 6.2L number in different colors. I bought one from them with the "AWD" instead of the 4x4 that my truck is and get lots of questions about it. the quality is great, i placed my awd emblem on the front grille. the 6.2L looks good on the hood in my opinion.

Just wanted to say that my gas mileage has improved since my 6.2 has broken in. I am up to 16.1 mpg 80/20 city/highway. I always run 93 octane because my station does not carry 91. Mpg goes down noticeably when running 87 so I don't use it. It will go down during summer because I tow a 6500lb boat around. My previous 5.3 got about the same so it is a great trade off in my opinion.

Anyone know what involved in removing the tail pipe resonator on the 6.2L? I want a little more sound and bet it would be a good temp fix until i do full exhaust. Is the resonator clamped on? havent had a chance to look under it yet and inspect. thanx

Has anyone had their truck tuned to run E-85? I thought at one point in time I had read somewhere someone had it specifically tuned for it and it did better on mileage I just cant find it anywhere. I would assume that if you did it for E85 you could still run 93 if E85 wasnt available.

I am wanting to ditch 09 with the 5.3 for the 6.2 in this body style. I like the new body style but Im just acustomed to this one and Im just hoping to get a good deal as soon as the 14's hit the lot.

All I run is E85. It didnt require anything special tuning wise.
