Third Brake light LED ?

Anyone replace their third brake light with a custom LED one ?

 

 

 

any suggestions on which brand etc ?

I bought a 40 dollar one, I think, on ebay. My main concern was that it came with the resister box already installed so it was plug and play. If you find some of the cheaper ones you may need to add resistors on your own. I dont know if you have them already or not, but I did have led light bulbs in my tail lights as well. With the led third brake light and led tail lights my cruse control would not work becuause there was not enough resistance. If you want one similar to mine, here it is.

I just put a pair of these in:

V-Leds

Super bright!

I have a recon one. The gasket material on it was bad and it leaked water into the cab, I ended up just siliconing it to the cab. No reason to take it off except to replace it anyways. Whatever you get, just make sure it seals properly.

I also have the recon one. cargo light sucks but the brake light is nice. I have the smoked lens

Just replaced the stock cracked one with this to sorta match the Spyder taillights:

Modified the light wiring for all brake lights, since I have a tarp and LED bed lights.

I replaced my 3rd brake light (Yukon) with the Putco 900217 manufactured for the Cadallac Escalade.

 

It is a high quality item, I have had it installed now for 3 years with no problems whatsoever.
