Kinda curious too. I think super dark tint is stupid but I can't see how tint would increase the odds of someone hitting you.

I always get cut off by people with dark tint, and have almost been run into quite a few times, probably because they can't see anything. I don't like many laws, but tint laws exist for a reason. Tint for eye reasons is bogus, sunglasses have been around a long time and don't impair vision at night. Everyone I've ridden with illegal tint has to roll their window down to see anything.

Tint is only against the law because its something people like to have and the government doesn't like people happy im surprised its still legal to smile. Tint laws are just another way to get money outa people and to control people. Some people can't bairly walk and chew gum little loan drive a vehicle and watch were there going you do know people get into accidents without out tint. You sound like a pig opps ment to say cop dam my bad lol.

I believe the absolute stupidest thing to do driving is have no lights on while in motion.

Really, you honestly think the government has nothing better to do then to make people unhappy?

Window tint is regulated for Pedestrian, Driver and Officer Safety, that's it nothing more…

I have always had window tint at 5% prior to this truck because daylight glare really bothers my eyes. I always wear a hat or my polarized oakleys outside of the truck because of this. In the truck i hated sunglasses because I have great peerifial vision and I feel they hampered that. I stepped down to only 20% tint on this truck because it is definitely tougher to see at night. But to be honest tint makes it easier for me to look and see oncoming or cross traffic at night, it cuts the headlight glare. In town we have great lighting so I was never worried about pedestrians. I see a lot of accident reports working in our engineering department for traffic and safety reasons, never read one that faulted window tint. Just saying.

Here in MA, people will still run into you if you were to paint your truck PPE fluorescent green, with reflective tape top to bottom. We breed LOTS of morons up here. You've probably encountered a few in your travels!

By "you" I'm generalizing - speaking to everyone ...

Got the new shock on(and I'm sore from it), the crashing sound is gone. It had showed up with the replacement autoride, so I guess that shock was doomed from the beginning. Only took me 45 min.

Odd thing is the right and left shocks outer sleeve don't match up in terms of total length. Its rides well so I guess I shouldn't worry too much. (made a post on the GMT900 section about it if your interested)

Nice. Good to get stuff like that fixed. I've still got my incessant rattle underneath. Got to disassemble and check my air bags - I suspect the top is moving around. If I put any more air in them I might as well remove the shocks & springs & just weld the axle to the frame, because it would feel the same ...

Got offered a '09 2500HD Duramax from my dad. I passed. He's had way too many problems with it (hasn't even hit 92k miles yet), & besides that, it's still worth more than I can afford. He's downsizing to a F-150. Ford seems to have their crap together a bit more than GM does lately, so that's how it's going to go. GM lost another customer.

Got my oil analysis back today from 12/26/15 oil change at 85,103 miles. Last analysis showed really high wear metal levels. I switched from Amsoil Signature Series 5w-30 to the same in 10w-30. HUGE difference!

Could be due to alot of factors though, so I'm not 100% sure the viscosity change is responsible for the huge improvement. For one, this sample was in the truck for 4 months/7,500 miles & driven all highway, while the last sample was in for 18 months / 9,600 miles with a combo of highway, city, and lots of sitting idle.

We'll see how the next sample looks. If I stay away from road trips, that'll probably be spring of '17.

Only time I can't see is if I'm in the woods without light... never had issue in a parking lot or on the roads because headlights exist..

But anyway got my buddy's truck hooked up

It seems to be riding smoother and quieter.

Test fit a new wheels with snow tires on the cx-5. DTD called after the order and said they had sold out but had a size taller so I took those because of the price I got was so good. The new wheels look good on it. But only one day under 33 degrees in the next two weeks so I took it back off.

Front window tint to match the rear windows, front and rear husky liner mud flaps and picked up 4 Concept 2 rowers with the truck

Back when I lived in Illinois law enforcement frowned on any percentage of tint. Unless it came from the factory or the occupant had a form from a doctor saying that tint was required as protection from UV rays, or some thing like that.. Now I guess they changed the law that allows only 35% on ALL windows. I saw 35% in the showroom, I don't see why anyone would even bother paying for that.

I have 35% side and rear, and 20% strip on the windshield of my Cruze. Not the biggest difference, but it's a lot better then just the factory, especially in a car.
