What's funny to me is apparently the center console has gone out of style in most models except the ltz. My 08 is an LT2, now granted it was ordered, but it has the center console vs. the middle seat. Everything I've seen on the lots here has the middle seat unless it's loaded with leather.

Same thing here. Can only find higher trim levels with the center console. My 09 & 11 were both 2LT's with the center console. Wouldn't have it any other way.

Over the years the center console seems to have faded out on the lower trim models. My 2005 Sierra 1500 was a nice equipped SLE ext cab with a center console. Doesn't seem like thats a possibility anymore.

I have a center console but I also have a High Country trim level (I believe the only trim level where it's standard). That was a must have when looking at trucks, and also 3.42 gears because I tow a lot. I'd see a truck that I liked and check the window sticker for gearing first before really looking into it. 3.08 gears are a joke to me honestly

Like the bling but one concern I'd have is that it located on top of the air bag.

How does that panel pop out exactly? I figured it just folds down if the airbag deploys.

Only thing I can think of is if the airbag pops just right *could* the logo shoot off and get to you before the airbag does. If so, the passenger would be a walking Chevy billboard for a while at least. I'm not sure that would happen, just a thought

That would suck. It crossed my mind when I stuck it there, that it COULD cause a problem, but I wasn't too concerned. I don't have a passenger hardly ever so between that, and luck hopefully I never have to find out what COULD happen. Edited February 4, 2016 by Daryl Z71
