You got that right! Only thing more expensive than this is an aviation hobby.

Guns top my truck right now. Between ammo, the firearm itself, upgrades, accessories, etc it can get pretty pricey

Today I put my summer rims and tires on, installed the Swing Box (tool box) and put on my replacement header on the driver side from ARH. Oh and of course I washed it.

If you get spark knock from 83 your timing is probably off.

check plugs.

even my old vortec munched platinums like they were made of something wimpy.

iridiums, gapped.. should cut back on knocking.

I still need 91. Stinky cat reasons.

I bet I could blow the guts out if I play that modern cold air intake game.

FYI.. the disty is still the champ. Tighter timing for decades. the new coil on plugs is fractal geometry for identifying individual cylinders at the computer.

even the first vortec could ride the crank sensor, they chose not to.

I bought a train horn from Hornblasters.com, going to install it this weekend. **not my video** but I'll be installing that same horn. (I'm sure someone will ask me so, it's the second one you hear in the video)

^^^ ..."An error occurred" ...

When I first got my license I had a '88 S15 nearly brand new. I bought an air horn off JC Whitney for $107 - that was a pile of dough at the time! Came with a vacuum-operated air pump - whenever the pressure got low, you'd hear the thing clicking away under the hood. Downside was a LONG fill time - if I was out having fun with it, it would take about 5 minutes to build pressure again.

Was rated at 131 decibels - was pretty much the same horn TT units used. Had a lanyard and everything. Had alot of fun with people cutting me off, or pulling out i front of me ... or, just walking down the street - the look of horror on their faces when they heard that thing was priceless.

That truck was so ridiculous looking - I'm trying to remember WTF I was thinking ...

Yep error here as well on the video. Horns are nice, I don't know what who made the set that dad put on the dually but it works well. Tank is too small at only 1.5 gallons. With the compressor only rated at 25% duty cycle it surprisingly is still working. Buddy and I will be installing a Viair compressor(s) and 5 gallon tank(s) eventually. The horns are hidden under the cab on the rear passenger side, makes it fun to scare my back seat passengers sitting right on top of them. Some people don't care for them, everyone has an option. While driving some drivers don't care how loud your horn is they still won't get out of the passing lane. It is nice to have a stupid loud car truck alarm though. Panic button is fun when your friends are hanging around your truck too.

I've got a pair of compressors in mine - I could just buy a horn and plumb it up. Got me thinking now ... :D

Right now I've got a set of 4 horns out of a '74 Riviera. Always loved the sound of the old GM 4-note horns. Found them off eBay a few years back.

Did a 2010 Colorado cluster and a 2003 Sierra cluster. Oh and a 2000 Corvette FOB and a 2005 Impala FOB. Cadillac guy thought $40 was too much for a FOB programmed to his car lol lol lol. Told him to go to the dealer. He'll be back !!!

I swear I was in a spot in AZ that looked exactly like that on a motorcycle ride once - nearly the same bridge design and dam (although smaller). Been 17 or more years, so having trouble remembering where exactly it was ...

Gotta love the West. Everything looks amazing in every direction.

I drove to Vegas this morning. Managed to get 18.2 mpg cruising at 78 mph most the time

    • It wouldn’t have happened if the government hadn’t mandated outrageous fuel mileage standards. It does very little for the consumer. It adds cost. Back during Covid there was a chip shortage. They gave a rebate for your truck if it didn’t have the chip to turn on cylinder deactivation. It was 50$ because at best you may see 1/2 a mile increase per gallon. Splitting hairs each fuel mileage trick wasn’t mandated. The government doesn’t do the engineering work and say use this until it’s already in use and they like it. The fuel mileage was mandated. And those add ons the results. There’s a mandate and they are the results.
    • It was never mandated.  Ever.    Automakers were incentivized to install it by getting CAFE credits to help with their vehicle fleet fuel economy scores.  They were being handed money/CAFE credits to install it.  Which is NOT a mandate.       The current admin removed the incentives that were behind them installing it.
    • Are you playing Slide Down endlessly but your score is still low? Are you constantly crashing into obstacles as the game speed increases? Don't worry, this article will share 5 invaluable tips to help you master the race and impress your friends. Golden Rules 1. Look one step further. The mistake of 90% of new players is only staring at their character. The secret of experts is to look towards the top of the screen (where the slide is about to appear). This gives your brain an extra 0.5 - 1 second to process the situation and determine the direction of movement before the obstacle approaches. 2. Use gentle movements; don't swipe too hard. Slide Down is very sensitive. Moving your finger too forcefully or with excessive amplitude will cause your character to be thrown off course or crash into a wall. Practise moving your finger with small, decisive, and precise movements. 3. Don't be greedy for gold in dangerous locations. Gold coins are tempting for buying skins, but life is more important. If you see a gold coin right on the edge of a cliff or next to a spike trap, ignore it. Our goal is a High Score, and your score only increases if you survive. 4. Make the most of Power-ups. During the slide, you'll encounter items like Magnets (attract gold) or Shields (temporary invincibility). Never miss them! Especially the Shield, it's your "get out of jail free card" to help you get through those deadly fast sections. 5. Stay calm when speed peaks. When your score exceeds 500 or 1000, the game speed will be very fast. At this point, don't try to think logically; let your natural reflexes work. Take deep breaths and don't panic. Apply these 5 tips to your next game, and your leaderboard will surely improve dramatically. Good luck climbing the Slide Down leaderboard!
