Power Sliding Rear Window and Power Folding Mirrors (Problems)

2010 Silverado Z71 LTZ, Power back window stopped working last night.. Took it to the dealer and was given an estimate of $535 to completely repair it.

I was told the wire that pulls the window was somehow damaged and now Id have to replace the module GM Part #20853408.

Was told that the back seat would have to be removed to access it... I figure no problem but these guys use no lube... I bought the part, but looking for cheaper labor..

On another note my passenger power folding side mirror doesnt work either.. I have an older one that was pulled off my 2009.. If its the motor that needs replacing could i somehow swap the mirror motor from my 09 to the 10?

How hard would it be for me to do both jobs?

Thanks

I've got close to 40k miles and bumper to bumper is gone after 35k.

Taking the seat off is no problem but putting it back on with the passenger side seatbelts is a pain.

A glass shop is gonna put the rear window actuator in for 75 tomorrow. I took the seat off for them so it should be a little less on labor.

I'm still out on my side mirror tho... Sucks... Everything is expensive

My rear window is broken too (the cable, not the window...).

Kind of interesting for me what you've paid for the actuator.

I'm gonna replace it by myself.

Thanks!

I'd love to replace it myself... I even too the back seat off to try.

The wire inside the spool where it coils up was tangled and made the cable snap on the closing side of the slider... I see how it works, but not sure if what I had was salvageable.

So either way I need a new cable. Taking the seat off was easy, putting it back on was a pain.
