Do any of the duramax tuners have sales for black friday? Didn't pay attention last year.

Yup lots of them will have deals on tunes and turbo kits.

If you are into tuning your DMAX, you might want to consider hanging out over at duramaxforum.com they are all into that kind of stuff.

Dad's ATV is in for a tune up.

Mice have been busy! The little bastards took the corn from the deer feeder, and black oil sunflower seeds from the bird feeder, and mixed it with a little fiberglass insulation. Ruined the filter in the process, naturally.

Got to fix a major fuel leak, leaking front diff seals, some melted wiring around the resistor for the heated grips / thumb throttle, and repair wiring to the winch. It's been a while since I've looked at it.

It's an '07 Arctic Cat 400. Hate wrenching on this thing. It's the most poorly engineered ATV I've ever worked on. Feels like working on modern cars! Have to take nuts and bolts out of places you can barely fit your hands, and getting the plastic off was the biggest wrestling match I've ever been in! Stay away from these friggin things if you do your own work - you'll thank me later! :nonod:

Yay DOT physical...

Also my #3 glow plug is bad, I just replaced all my odd ones on Oct 9th. Lame, #3 was the one that went bad then that prompted me to replace them too.

Speaking of that, I got a letter from the state last year that said if I didn't submit a DOT screening, they were going to yank my Class A license, even though I no longer drive for a living and have no need for the physical.

I'll tell ya ... just when you thing this friggin state can't get any worse! Yet another thing they've invented to continually stick their dirty d!$kbeaters into our pockets ...

What's even more baffling is, everyone around the state continually re-elects the same group of s#!&heads to our legislature year after year. :banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead:

In other news, my dad just sold his '09 2500HD Duramax this weekend (along with their camper as a package deal), after the state forced him to re-install the DPF, & remove the tuning. Bought a '16 Ram 1500 Hemi, just like my brother did a couple months ago. I'm now the lone GM owner of the family. Well, mom's got a Honda, so I guess I'm not the only oddball.:D

You can file paperwork to keep the class A. If you begin using the class for a living again you will need to update your info with the state and pass a DOT physical

The way the letter was worded, if I didn't submit one within 60 days, they would yank the license. They didn't care if I was working, or not. That's typical in this state. Logic takes a back-seat, every time.

BUT ... knock on wood ... nothing has happened yet ...

If they yank it, I'll lawyer up and go to the local media - I'll blow that thing so far out of proportion they'll have wished they kept that letter at the statehouse.

My dad once almost got locked up when I was a kid, after arguing with a trooper about his black powder rifle he spotted in the rack (nowadays you'll get locked up for carrying one visibly that way! Back window racks are relics of the past up here now). Most logical, sane human beings would realize that a muzzleloader is about as effective as a big stick once the primer is removed. The trooper argued that since there was powder and a projectile in it, it was technically "loaded". My dad said, "If you can make that thing fire right now, I'll let you fire it right into my chest!" Long story short, we left after he discussed the situation with his superior. :sigh:

Only in MA! City folks ....

Lets all guess, How many will get trampled to death in America's bloodiest holiday this year?

You know, if we ever get invaded here the government can just tell the public the enemy is hiding doorbusters behind them.

Drove a cab over for the first time today. I'm just going to assume that it was a POS and that all cab overs don't suck like that one did. Yay budget rental trucks, I think these rental companies give their biggest pieces of poop to UPS for peak season. :)

those things are death traps. Tell Budget to stuff it! Go with Penske. Decent international and sometimes Freightliners.

I can't tell them to do anything. UPS rents from everyone during peak. Last year I drove a F650/F750 box truck a few times and I think I'd rather drive that, wouldn't be very good for what I did yesterday though. I still need to figure out if I'm working again before Monday, no one tells me anything lol
