Hello,

I am at a complete loss right now with my truck, long story short I have an 04 Sierra 2500 HD, 6.6 LLY TD. The truck has been serviced by AAMCO and a GM Dealer. Still having problems. It started with losing reverse on the transmission, went to AAMCO 1700 dollars a TPF switch and starter later, no change. Get it to the dealer and the find its the ignition system had a voltage flux. They repair it and it runs great for all of a day. Go back to my truck it turns over but wont fire. Tried jumping it to see if it was just low amp/volt, same thing it turns over but wont fire. I was hoping someone might have a little insight before I have to have it towed again.

Thanks,

Chris

Dealer fixed it, so I'd make them tow it back & fix it the right way, all on their dime.

I hear ya - I've had my share of problems. One of the downfalls of having all kinds of high-tech features. When they break, they break good.

Good luck.

SO I am posting again trying to see if anyone else has had issues like this before. It seems like my truck is falling apart. Heres the short sweet saga:

Transmission: No reverse sporadicly, would shift right - AAMCO replaces TPF results in no change

Starter: Pull up to stop light truck starts shuddering electronics flashing and going crazy, white smoke pluming out tailpipe truck trying to stall

Water pump start leaking on my trip back home - Dealer replaces it all

Transmission AGAIN: Dealer finds a voltage flux in the ignition system and replaces it all Results in transmission working great again,

Go to start the truck two days later and wouldnt fire - Dealership again finds glow plug controller shot and now EGR system is failing.

So Ive already spent almost 3000 fixing one thing after another. Is there any link between this all or this just horrific luck or a Pre-Pay plan on karma?

Seems to be the way of the manufacturing world nowadays. It's hit or miss. Sometimes you get a better one, sometimes you don't. Same with all brands, even the foreign ones, especially lately. Companies juggle endless government regulations against trying to make a profit. Corners get cut. Sad times we live in.
