Just remember the Avalanche has a big fuel tank. If you run it down low it's gonna cost a $100 bill to fill it!

Mud rig?! Tell us more!

Gonna buy a beater trail rig for bogging with the fam! lol Although I might throw some 31's on the Avy in the future!

Nice truck. Not a bad price for it either.

Yeah from what I had seen the price wasn't bad, right about in the middle of low and high. It was either this truck or an 03 crew cab 6.0 that had 144k miles for 8 grand.

Towing report!! Only about 45 miles so not much of a report but here goes! Lots of power!! Amazed at how well it did up hills and such. Didn't even drop out of OD for the most part just motored right up the hills! Even passed a few cars, sored right up 70 mph not used to that!! lol Still got a wierd bounce but i think I just need to play around with the spring bars a bit. Showed an avg. of about 8 mpg in that 45 miles so not terrible. More to come this summer I'm sure!

It is fun being able to pass other vehicles when towing, but don't get into too big of a habbit of it, drive it gracefully and don't push it unless needed.

Yeah it was a truck hauling a big ol tractor going like 40 so I got into it a bit to pass em and was suprised to see I was up to 70 before even passing the truck! I know not to push it. Just gotta get used to the extra pow of the 8.1! lol

Congrats on the new truck!! As soon as one of my vehicles is paid off and I close on my house I will be in the market for a 2500 Avy. Let me know how it does on some more towing trips!!

Another trip with the camper in the books! This thing is a towing beast!! Hills don't phase it one bit! 3rd gear just motors right up the grades! Luv it! Now just gotta get the hitch setup properly (nose of camper is a bit low) then it should be an awesome package!

Last towing trip not so great. Had bed loaded with firewood and adjusted the hitch ball up a notch to level out the camper. Now I get a nasty bounce at times like going over bridges or dips in the road. Gets so bad that the spring bars will actually hit the road! Not good! Any ideas?? I got the spring bars as tight as I can get em (the trailer does have a rather low mounted tongue) and everything is level as far as front and rear of the truck are concerned.

Probably original shocks! Might check there first!
