WTXZ71 Posted February 19, 2015 Posted February 19, 2015 I'm trying to play it safe being that there's only 2 inches added up front and 0 offset. Nitto tech specs: 275/70-18= 33.62x11.10 285/65-18= 32.83x11.93 285/75-18= 35.08x11.26
Texas Husker Posted February 19, 2015 Posted February 19, 2015 I have the 275/70/18 on stock rims. I went with the Hankook Dynapro. So far so good. No rubbing. We got a ton of snow and they have done really well. They look fairly aggressive but not too noisy. I'm pretty happy with them. I did measure my truck after installing the Bilsteins. 38 to front fender and 38.25 to rear. It's damn near level. I'm running lower air pressure right now with the foot of snow we have on the ground. It may come up a little more once I start playing with more air pressure. The tire dealer only put 37 lbs in the tires and I think I'll take them up to 45 and see how it rides once the roads clear up. Turned to full lock, how much clearance for a larger tire is there? To the sway bar and bumper corner? If you could look please. Thanks.
tanner709 Posted February 19, 2015 Posted February 19, 2015 After the 18" tire size dilemma I've decided to go down to a 17" tire and settled on cooper St maxx's in 295/70/17. Little over 11.5" wide and a little over 33" tall, which is what I was aiming for. Might I add, Mr. Wheel Deal was the best prices I could find anywhere, online or local by over $500

Thanks
ChevyTrucks_95 Posted February 19, 2015 Posted February 19, 2015 Yes MrWheelDeal.com has awesome prices. I got my rims and tires from them also and saved I think $400. 1
Tyler1199 Posted February 20, 2015 Posted February 20, 2015 I have 275/65's. No rubbing just need a cable tie the inner liner back. Both sides 3 mins. each spx what liner are you talking about? are you running stock tires? Im doing the 2.5" RC level and going to be running mayhem wheels at +18 offset and tera grapplers 275/65/20.

Tha The issue with 18s is the tire sizes available 275/70/18 just isnt quite big enough and 295/70/18 is too tall. 17s solves the problem by going with 295/70/17 you get the width and a good height. the plan is to go with 17x9 +0, today. That plan may change by supper time lol
WTXZ71 Posted February 20, 2015 Posted February 20, 2015 I got my 285/65-18 32.83/11.93 Nitto Trails mounted on my 18x9 0 offset today! Haven't encountered any rub so far! 1

Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk yes it rubs the on the fender liner, but if you wire tie the liner back you can get plenty of clearance. even the people doing the 2.5 kit have to do this to fit this tire. 1
